The first grab coming out of defensive 50.
We've struggled.
Griff is the man.
With his booming foot the next inside 50 or deep swing into the corridoor is a kick away.
No way Vickery gets in over Griff!

The guy gives us so much more than many around here are happy to admit.
A very different player to Vickery. Ideally we should have them both in the team as each offers something the other doesn't.
-
Not his first match saving mark either
-
Manager shopping him Round so says Pegmiester.

Trade Vix?

Trade Vix?
That's what I'd do but he's still contracted.

The club is stupid for having not resigned him
-
he dont wanna go anywhere
-
He's restricted if he wants he can go to St. Kilda in the draft and wait 5 years to play finals again.
Need to resign him
-
I also love Griffiths. But needs to work in engine.
I enjoy following him play and watched him closely. He had a great 1st qtr but was spent after that until the last when he played on adrenaline. 2nd and 3rd he was left jogging behind Grundy.

Ball rarely went forward with any purpose in those quarters so all our forwards struggled. I thought he still contributed in the ruck and gave Maric a chop out.

Agree with this, nothing another preseason wont fix.

His ability to take a contested grab and to make a contest are very good. Throughout the game he brought the ball to ground if he could not mark it. His long kicking was also very valuable. Agree needs to work on his engine but the club also needs to learn to kick it to him. Saw at least one occasion where he had made space and was not rewarded for doing so. His game against the Swans was very team oriented.
-
If we dont sign him up we are nuts. Stepped up this season and now believes. That leg is such a weapon, it doesn't always show up on the stats sheet but it creates so many goals.
-
Slippery night. Not a game for tall forwards. I50 delivery was disgraceful too. Too many high balls, outnumbered all the time, not hitting targets on the lead, and just kicking the stuffing ball out on the full.
This guy gives more than Vickery every week. He takes great marks and clearly cares more for playing that Vickery. Probably because Vickery is gifted games and Griffiths generally isn't.
MUST sign him. We're playing finals and hopefully he wants to be successful rather than play for a pack of chumps like St Kilda or Footscray. Otherwise just match the bid or at least get a good pick in a trade FFS. Offer Vickery instead. This guy has to stay. Anything less is a failure of the club.
-
If it came to it, Would much prefer to keep Griff over Vickery, think hes a more rounded player that impacts games more. Also think he has more upside and tools to work with.
-
I like Tyrone. But I'd be placing Griffith's as the priority of the two.
It saddeens me we have not resigned him on the distant past
-
Was listening to all the stations this morning, they said he is now worth a 1st round pick ... having said that we should keep him. The ability to kick the ball like him is a major weapon. Agree that work needs to be done to increase his tank. At the moment we are only getting a half footy out of him. If we can get him to be more involved for longer that would be a major benefit to the team.
-
Vickery doesn't take contested marks like Griff. Splitting the pack using his strength and height to do so and then roosting it 60 metres with aplomb. Need to re-sign this kid ASAP.
Griff >>>>>>>>Vickery.

Griff. Griffiths was a first round pick (or very close). Was rated as a top five picky some but slid due to injury concerns. We put years into him. Shouldn't take a anything less than top 5/3 pick...
Vickery should have big, not Hawaiian pigs, trade value IMO. I would be keeping him as the ruck stocks are weak outside of Maric.
-
Vickery should have aloha e hog trade value
If we get offered a Hawaiian pig for Vickery I reckon we should take it. ;D
-
Who plays rucked Maric goes down
Orem is 73
Hampson is the king of potatoes
Griff is a rolls Royce. You don't put the, in the ruck
-
Vickers is a better Ruck backup, Griffs poos all over him moving round the ground and providing a contest in most situations and hallelujah if he has a shot with the ball. I can see a plus on keeping them both. We could have the ideal forward line if we could get them all firing together, be the dread of the comp, we still got the stringbean cooking along nicely too.

I saw one where he just made space as Deledio? started looking the other way and missed him, was unlucky not to be having a shot on goal
