@thelistmanager: "In my 3rd year (of 5 at Tigers) I had players to come to me and tell me they want me out. It's hard to come back from that.

Wow that was early on but we did only win 3 games. We were crap then.
-
Unfortunately he wasn't a quick learner ::)
-
Why wasn't he sacked then ? Could've been premiers by now
-
Yet you dug your heels in and brought the club further to its knees.
-
Makes me sick every time I hear him and his expert opinions.
He stuffed up Footscray and did a pretty good number on Richmond Football Club.
He always uses the excuse there was no funding for his department YET most other clubs were the same.
Wish he had gone to Sydney and stuffed them up, we could have had Roos!!

Maybe the players should've been out on the training track trying to improve their sub-standard skills rather than sitting in meetings discussing how they could get rid of the coach ?
-
I wonder which players

Precisely. Wallace probably pushed them a bit hard. :banghead

seems to me the logical thing to do was either get rid of those players or recognise you have lost the players and resign. neither happened it seems. where was greg miller in all this. oh thats right miller wallace and the pres were a closed knit little triumvirate.

I wonder too. Gaspar maybe?

I wanted him out in 1987, bit it took 11 games, a idiot of a President and the resulting doggy dooddle to get him out the first time.
I know what you did in Bayswater Terrance.
