Next up is Floss.
Nick played 20 games in his second season of AFL to take his career tally to 38. His best returns this year were 22 disposals vs Geelong (R7) and 20 possessions against both Collingwood (R4) and North Melbourne (R12).

How did we all rate Vlastuin's year?
-
2nd year blues. Will have a big impact next year
-
Thought he was great, still learning and will consolidate nicely as long as he doesn't get infected with richmonditis
-
not that good imo. Great prospect but felt he struggled a bit. Should be ready for a big one after another full preseason.
-
Very good.
-
Went into his shell after a great 1st year
-
I agree with the overall sentiment in that we was a little disappointing after a very promising year 1.
Quite often this is a bad sign for a player - I am hopeful more than confident that we will bounce back in 2015.
-
Good but didn't see the overall improvement that I thought we'd get
However, thought in the N0rt game we got a glimpse of what we can expect if he gets a real shot in midfield. Was excellent in the first of that game. Why he was moved out if there in the 2nd half is one of the seasons great mystery

U have a long lunch today WP ? ;D
Vlastuin is closing in on the 50 game mark now. I understand people's need for instant results from their high picks but I still think kids need to get 50 games under their belt at AFL level before you can make a solid call on them ( Unless of course you're a JON type who can't even get a senior game )
Good size , built like a brick sheethouse , has the tools and the skills as well as composure and courage. Just needs to get fitter and learn the footy smarts so that he gets more of the ball.

It's a big ask to carry mongs like houli and Chaplin at such a tender age

Who dished out the ten?

6 for me.
Not bad for a kid in his second year.
Would like to see him get a few more cheap touches. Get involved a bit more, but that will come.
Looking forward to seeing how good he can get.
Big call but I see a bit of Dayne Beams in him.

I should put my ball sacks on the line and say he will never be anything :shh

The only Dayne Beams you'll see in him is the rodgering Dayno might give him should they ever go head to head :thumbsup

Got a lot more time in the midfield than his first season and it was a steep learning curve for him.
Another step in his development.
Hopefully we see the benefit of that next season..

dud, delist.

I gave him a 6. Generally very good user of the ball when he has it in hand. Just needs to find the pill a bit more. For me it was just second year blues and as mentioned early, thrown in the deep end when he had to rotate through the midfield. He'd be wasted as a spare man hanging back so I'm not too concerned his possession average dropped a bit. A full pre-season should set him up for a big 2015
