I remember Gale saying at the time there will be a review what went wrong during those first 10 games not a major review just a review. Then listening to our president against the bombers on radio she also said the first half of the year will be reviewed even if we made the the finals. So question has to be asked what has come out of it ??.There has no been no major changes to our football department besides Rutten coming in and no players traded out ,just poor decisions made on our playing group. The players delisted lucky played 5 games between them in the seniors and had no impact on our poor start and now we're linked to Robinson it's not bad enough we have Thomas and Petterd.

I suspect that they've concluded that the team performs better when staring down the barrel of our disastrous season.
I also believe the players do it to troll the whinging molls on OER

Recall Gale or someone from the RFC mentioning on sen that they had already conducted an internal review - was in response to the question will there be a review at seasons end

We've decided to recruit Mitch Robinson.

plenty went wrong in the back half of the yr as well, most just dont acknowledge it because even though they played poorly in a lot of games they managed to win.
there are so many areas that must improve if we wish to become a very good finals side. but when we tried to implement and play in a way that would allow us to do this we failed and had to revert back to what is okay against middling and poor sides but just doesnt cut it against the better sides.
we need to weed out those who cant adapt even if it means a step backwards in the short term.. one thing for sure we will go backwards at some stage in a big way, without ever really getting close if we cant adapt.

They are going to the draft to bring in talent its as simple as that. The rookie list as depth has worked OK and they will continue with that I suspect. The rookie list as development hasn't worked given they dropped most of the kids who were on it, pity. I think going to the draft is the right thing to do for at least 3 or 4 rounds. Round 5 could be spent on a recycled. Id fill out the rookie list with project players from the USA. Athletes who don't make it in other sports. 3 or 4 of them. Id look a guards from basketball who dont make it in the NBA they would have good spatial awareness for packs. But we dont develop much.

There was no full scale review unlike Geelong at the end of 2006. The Board just sent Dan Richardson away with some questions to report back on in June last year.
O'Neal divulged this week the club's football department boss, Dan Richardson, was sent away from Tuesday's meeting of directors with questions he is expected to report back on at the hierarchy's next scheduled meeting in June. Tony Free, Richmond's sole ex-league player director, would also ''do a bit more digging'' on his clear area of expertise, O'Neal says.
But to launch a full-scale review of Richmond's football department now, like Geelong infamously did in mid-2006 before it won the 2007 flag, would be ludicrous, O'Neal contends, given the thorough exercise the board went through before Damien Hardwick's re-signing in December.
