Following the latest poll on the RFC website ....
http://www.richmondfc.com.au/news/2014-11-11/the-perfect-tiger-speed
Who was the quickest player you've ever seen at Tigerland?
-
Marty McGrath.
-
Geee, most of those guys were quick. Graeme Bond was nicknamed "the racehorse" and was very quick. KB was very fast especially in the first 20m. Michael Mitchell was breathtaking and Lids before his achilles problems was extremely quick.
Their was a guy called Daryl Cumming who was a sprinter (I think from memory) who was also very quick. Can remember him destroying Hawthorn down at Glenferrie oval late in 1972. He kicked 5 goals from just 8 or so kicks to sink them on their home turf by just under a couple of goals. :thumbsup :thumbsup

Justin Plapp
:lol

Matt White

David Rodan

Didn't see clay or bond play and perhaps saw Bartlett after he lost a yard but Michael Mitchell was something out of this world with his pace and agility.
-
Lids
-
This poll is a disgrace without a young Stuart Maxfield

That's what PA would like u to believe, not even close , lids left him for dead :shh
-
Ben Cousins..... ;D
-
KB on a 20mtr burst anywhere near goal. Then Lids ... then Michael Mitchell ... Woosha ... Scrimma ... Ian Satori ... Geoff Ablett ... Kevin Ablett ... Butch Gale ... The Whale at a free drink? :cheers ;D
-
Michael Mitchell
-
KB had amazing agility and a great burst of speed used to run rings around blokes, with todays training and sports science he would of been even more of a stuff
-
Steven Jurica
-
Michael Mitchell had the speed and skill. Nathan Bower and Flash Gordon were very quick but had limited ability.

Stuart Maxfield should have been put in topic on greatest kicks at Richmond. He was a great kick on the run.

for someone who has only had a salad sandwich today that looks pretty good ;D not sure if the sodium levels in it would be good for me but what the stuff ... :lol

Gaeme Bond was pretty Damn quick. You can see him on the fly (1969 GF #24) in my Tiger tribute video at exactly the 2 min mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-5fWk27ye4
I used to think Chris Naish And Tivva were also quite zippy.
-
Michael Mitchell without a doubt the quickest. Had good skills & could bounce the ball at full pace. Could take a screamer but got too many head knocks. fantastic too watch & recommend every Tiger supporter to watch footage of this guy.
-
Racehorse Bond for mine. And when in full flight he bounced the ball with his opposite hand too!!

We need a Michael Mitchell of the 2014/2015 variety ... he would have been great if he had played in a better side but most of the sides he played in with us were complete utter crap. Peter Wilson the same.
