Just wanted to let everyone know that tickets for the round 22 game against Geelong at the used to be called Kardinia Park, shell, baytec and now known as Skilled stadium have gone on sale this morning via Ticketmaster7. I have managed to buy some this morning
I know that not many tockets are released because of this slight problem of the home team having 35K members and a home stadium that holds only 28-29k (a spray for another day I reckon ;D) but there are some tickets available for those interested in farewelling Cambo in his final game
:thumbsup

What’s wrong with today WP? :rollin
Why they play a game that, to my knowledge, never gets a crowd of anything under 30k, unless they play it at a stadium that holds under 30k, is unreal. :banghead
The people who run this competition must get a kick out of messin’ with our minds. They schedule games that get under 25k at the MCG, but a game that could get around 40k is scheduled at some boutique oval. The next time someone from the AFL comes out and says they’re trying to maximise crowds, how could we not believe them. ::)

Umm the official reason for it being at Skilled Stadium as per the AFL's Official Fixture is lack of venue availability in Melbourne that weekend :-\ I kid you not - Me thinks it has a bit to do with having to service a very large TV rights contract that says Channel Eddie must have a early start game on Sundays - then again perhaps I'm just way toooooooooooooo cynical in my state of delirium :banghead :lol

I got 2 tickets right next to the Richmond race, fantastic spot to send off Wayne as he is chaired from the ground.
Hopefully it will be after a win to the Tigers :thumbsup

I personally don't have a problem with the Cats having their home games in Geelong. If heaven forbid I was a Cat feral I would want that advantage for my team.
I just want the AFL to be consistent and play ALL our 11 home games at the 'G and not have the ridiculous scenario on the weekend where we played our home game at the Dogs' home ground or MCG co-tenants meet at the Dome as will happen again this week :banghead.
ps. for those going down to Kardinia Park for the first time beware Cat fans are even more feral than Freo and Port supporters ;). If you hear a banjo - RUN! ;D

I'm further around in bay 20, Bully. Might be a good idea if i'm further away from the tiger race seeing my luv for Weeny. Just wouldn't be able to control myself ::)

4 Standing room tickets for me/mate and 2 cubs. Been a while since been down there, lets hope it is better than previous efforts.
The last time we won there in the last 20 years, I actually missed it - cant remember why,(Wasn't that the weekend of all the losers winning bears lions tigers, remember some thing on the back page of the sun) :rollin so you could say it has been a long time between drinks. Not very good memories of KP over the years :cheers

Couldn't agree more MT our home games should be at the 'G' it's a big bugbear of mine.

I don't have a problem with them playing their home games in Geelong. But I think it is wrong that they have 35K odd members and their home stadium cannot accomodate all those members let alone supporters of opposing teams. I thought one of the major goals of this competition is to maximise attendances - Skilled Stadium does not do this

Last time we were down at the Cattery was in 2001. Might of been the game Knighter got reported (?).
KB was coach when we last won down there - May 13, Round 7, 1990. A rare win against Geelong and Gary Ablett. The Cats couldn't kick straight and we got home.
Richmond 3.5 6.8 11.14 13.18-96
Geelong 4.6 5.15 5.20 9.28-82
We've lost our past 6 matches against Geelong. Last win was in 2000.
