WHO has the best ruck division?
In the final instalment of SuperFooty’s 2015 depth chart series, we’ve assessed every AFL club’s ruck division by breaking the group down in four brackets.
The No. 1 — Tier 1 players — would command top billing in most sides, while the Rotations — Tier 2 — are those who provide relief.
The Back-ups — Tier 3 — need injuries to strike to be any chance of making the grade while as the name suggests, In case of an emergency is reserved for the developing big men on your club’s list.
RICHMOND
No. 1
Ivan Maric
Rotations
Ty Vickery
Ben Griffiths
Back-ups
Shaun Hampson
In case of an emergency
Ivan Soldo
Verdict:
Maric is as good as they come on his day and has the support of versatile forwards Vickery and Griffiths when he needs a breather. Hampson is a proven back-up option for the Tigers, registering 318 hitouts from 11 games last year including a high percentage to advantage.
