Could this be the year for the AFL to finally kiss and make up to football fans for that Meat Loaf performance?
A caller to radio station 3AW's Rumour File on Thursday morning said glam metal veterans Kiss will headline the 2015 AFL grand final.
The same caller suggested AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan was determined to make his mark in a new era, perhaps with a pot of face paint.
The AFL is keeping mum on the Kiss rumours for now, with a spokesman saying the headline act would be announced in late August or early September.
Coincidentally, Kiss is expected to embark on a tour Down Under in early October.

Will legendary American rockers KISS play at this year's AFL Grand Final, as rumoured?
It seems unlikely, with the band announcing they will play Perth Arena on the same day.
Earlier this month, a caller to Melbourne talkback radio station 3AW suggested the band would be the headline act at the big game. If true, it would take some tight scheduling to pull off the feat.
In a statement released on Thursday, promoters announced that the KISS tour would begin in Perth on October 3 – the same day as the grand final.
However, factoring in the two-hour time difference, it could be possible for the band to squeeze in both gigs.
The AFL is expected to make its announcement about the headline act in August.
