If we don't beat Carlton by at least 40 points (without them coming back at all) this will be a fail in my opinion. Carlton are a rubbish side
No excuses
-
Think of it as a win/win opportunity, Filthy Phil.
If we win, we are off to a good start with some soft games to follow.
If we lose Malthouse is a better chance of a new contract which will stop Carlton pinching Bomber before we can get him.
-
I was hoping for 140 points
We shouldnt accept mediocrity with a 40 point win
-
Mediocrity is the new black.
Aspire and revel in a mediocre day, working a mediocre job, eating mediocre food and having a mediocre nights sleep.
It's a medicated state of mind without the medication.
Because doing better is optional only and aspirations for betterment are ridiculous
-
I see he has done nothing to help us with our mental issues
-
not sure anyone can help you with that
-
not sure anyone can help you with that
A bullet might do the trick
-
We need someone that can coach before anyone else will have any effect.
-
lol if people think its mental then delusion is alive and well. hmm a word comes to mind its an imortant word its ability. well in our case a lack there of. :lol

incorrect Claw. Its almost all between their ears(aside from grigg and a few others who are plain shyte) and combined with the fact the coach is soft on them.
It is what it is some people are getting emotional about it and i am not really sure why. We are a 6-12th side nothing more nothing less and the longer dimwit hangs around selecting these blokes the longer we will be where we are.

We've Richmonded him already
-
freud and Geez would struggle with this lot
leading teams.... lol

Apparently he's now seeking psychological help.

He has become the problem

Might be onto something.
Our leadership this season has gone backwards as our leaders seem to be lost
Best leader we had yesterday was Lids and he hadn't played for 5 weeks. We were sitting above the interchange area and he was ropeable every time he came off. Ditto Ivan, the others showed no emotion at all.
-
There isn't one player who has stepped up on the field
Club spends $$$$$ on player development and the footy dept
Where are the results ?
Glorified jobs for recently retired players from other clubs
Please !!!!
We can't develop anything
My take on watching both the AFL and VFL is that the only guy who leads by example.bowls a few players over and tries to lift people is a player who ain't even on our list is the captain of the VFL team .Cachia ( even got reported and currently serving 2 weeks )
That's how good RFC is going developing leaders
-
Is it a lack of development or the players not having the inherent traits to be a leader? 50/50? 60/40?
-
70/30
Club cannot develop
Opposition clubs laugh at us
Mail from Port in last years final is they "gave it " to Richmonds so call leaders
-

Would agree with Jack right now 70/30
Catch is the perfect example, he a very good player who has gone backwards or stagnated since being made captain. Have said a few times he appears to try to hard to be a captain to the determent of his own game, which then results on the discussions about lack of leadership.
Perhaps if he wasn't "burdened" with the title we get the player we had back
