Title: Tigers take note of the Hawks today...
Post by: Eat_em_Alive on April 12, 2015, 05:07:38 PM
3rd quarter comeback and now 3 points down

this is how you make things happen, but working hard not waiting for the game to open up

Forget about it.

Our coach is a nuffer and never had a clue about real leadership.
He thought u  just designated it.
Lmao.

I think Dimma has a lot to do with it but once the players cross that white line they have to know what the stuff to do.
They are responsible on field, they should all step up and be leaders they can't let Dimma take all the heat.

Having said that, what ever speech or preparation Dimma and assistant coaches put into the team before the game is rubbish because they always come out in the first quarter like they've been asleep for decades and don't know wtf to do..

I agree
we just don't have enough people with that win at all costs mentality
let's be honest here we didn't lose to a top 4 team. We lost to a team who is in their 2 or 3rd year of a rebuild and the most concerning thing was not that they were better than us but we appeared to be winning most stats during the game but ..

Oh look Hawks in front by 2 goals now... hard work pays off
even if they lose from here at least they worked themselves back into the game to be in a winning position

if I had to find one word to describe us at crucial times over the past few years its flacid.
Dimma certainly hasn't instilled the mongrel he had as a player

you cant instill mongrel if they dont have it in em. far too many just dont have it in em including some of our so called better players.

claw take a look around and see what coaches in very short space of time can do..Port the crows, even the doggies....Even if you hark back to the mid 90s and what northy did with a very ordinary group of players..A great leader will inspire you to walk through a brick wall

Take note of both teams games, firstly how the Bombers relentlessly attacked the Hawks at their own game and maintained their pressure as long as their legs would allow. Secondly the Hawks for being resilient enough to take everything the Bombers could throw at them and still be able to put themselves back into a winning position after being down and out. And thirdly the Bombers for being the proverbial boxer on the canvas for the count and still being strong enough to lift themselves up and in the process deliver the knockout blow. On all three counts I am sorry to say that I couldn't see our side being capable of doing any of what was on show yesterday afternoon. It's the sort of game scenario that you dream one day we could actually be the winning side.
