MARK Robinson believes Richmond cannot compete for the premiership without out-of-contract defender Alex Rance.
Previewing the Anzac Day eve clash between Richmond and Melbourne with Gerard Whateley in a bonus episode of AFL360: Friday From All Angles, Robinson reiterated the importance of the Tigers retaining Rance beyond this season.
“It’s huge,” Robinson said. “How vital is Alex Rance to any club? Every club would like Alex Rance.
“If he’s not at Richmond, that window closes. It’s only ajar anyway, I reckon, but it closes further.”
When questioned on where the defender will be in 2016, Robinson responded: “Puerto Rico ... I don’t know.
“I listen to some people and they tell me he’s gone, I listen to Damien Hardwick and he’s already signed the contract.”

Must have started to believe his own press. Badly beaten tonight. Might have cost himself a few thousand tonight. Just sign on

He's gone.
He wants a premiership but sadly he will never see one with this mob.
