Ch 7 interviewed Ivan outside of Punt Rd this morning. Mark Stevens claiming "Their a pretty shell-shocked lot down at Tigerland".
Ivan said "We're shattered. I mean ... you want to win and we believe we can beat anybody."
-
Yep we hear that after every loss at Punt Rd. :help
Smell the roses boys.
They are nothing short of deluded if we think we can beat anybody.
No leadership
No guts
No glory
No spine
No heart
No smarts
No skill
No honesty
No integrity
No realism
No humbleness
How about you start there and after our next bad loss see how shattered 67k members are. :nopity

When you take experience and standing in the side into account, Maric has been our worst player three games straight.
-
Surely Hampson is a chance to come in for him
-
I still cant believe the crap they dished up the other night. To me that game told so much about the club, and how far we have to go yet.We here might argue and disagree but we will still be here long after all the officials are long gone.we maybe a little misguided but we all care
-
If he thinks they're shattered, he has no idea about the fans. The team will still get paid for that insipid performance, but the fans are the ones that have to pay to watch it!
-
10 days ago Maric said we were a better team than last year.
Our players have either no idea or are liars
-
No, no you aren't Maric.
This guy doesn't do enough round the ground and when was his last clean tap?
-
Same crap, different year.
-
We're shattered too. Ivan.

I'm not shattered, been waiting for something more consistently successful since the farce of round 1 2009.
While there have been glimmers here and there, we are nothing more than a mid table side - much like the Demons team under Neale Daniher.
The one positive with the club is that it's off field organisation and impact has been impressive with continued profits, improved facilities and a much more professional approach in managing emotional subjects like player contracts.
The downside is the non fact based faith put into key personnel who are responsible for on field results.
I'd still argue we are a couple of key appointments (on and off field) away from taking the next step. Until then, I'm not invested enough to be inevitably let down and so I watch out of loyalty and the enjoyment of catching up with mates for a weekend beer to leverage my long held social amnesty with the missus. ;D
So, until there is something genuinely elite about our playing list, coaching, playing development and conditioning - I'll be going along and barracking but not putting myself through the angst of "hoping" I'm missing something
-
We're pros at saying how we're shattered. Saying how the final still burns inside, motivating us. We are the ultimate smack talkers but as soon as it comes down to walking the walk we can't deliver. Would like the club to shut up and go out onto the field and let their actions do the talking. The club releasing a docco with Hardwick saying ' cmon boys I feel something special this year I know you do too' please. Go out on the field and bloody prove that we can beat anyone. I feel this season could go either way from here. We can get fired up and start playing some good footy which would please U.S. all win lose or draw, or just win the occasional game in a bad manner. Let's find out.
