Out .Newman ( inj ) Griffiths ( concussion )
Gordon ( omitted ) Hunt ( omitted )
Ins .Hampson , McBean , Dea , Thomas ( upgraded from a Rookie list )
-
Hmmm severely out paced and 91 points from turnovers and you want to bring in Thomarse - the slowest player and worst turnover merchant in the AFL.
-

Hardwick done himself over by going in too small. It might have been a bad day but Vickery should have played today.

Yep
Wins his own ball
We play way too many down hill skaters
Forget about stats
Win the ball when in dispute

Need to play Hampson
Ivan tries but needs a chop out

...and he gives it straight back - which was our main problem today - on top of that he can't keep up when we lose possession or out run anyone when we have it....also major problems today that he will only compound...on top of that he also needs to be elevated from the rookie list first...
-
Hindsight is great we just don't have the cattle.
Would like to see Elton have a go next week.
Is Lennon fit.
I don't care play the kids.
Scrap the idealogy of making finals blah blah blam.
Show some credibility to your position and the responsibility is holds and 68000 members and start playing the kids. You never know you just might take a year or 2 out of the mandatory reno that these stufftards have gotten us into.
Best policy. Rather than delisting kids based on the previous coach and the new coach wanting to look like he is doing something akin to Gieschen and Frawley and Wallace just stuffin play the kids and give that hope to us rather than trying to seel us the finals or bust mantra that worked last year but clearly is not good enough this year.
If Gary Ablett hadn't done his shoulder i have no doubt now we wouldn't be talking about winning our last 9 and making the finals. :-\
-
No ins or outs will make any difference whatsoever.
Seriously.

Yep winning the ball in dispute wasn't/ hasn't been our issue.
Out:
Astbury
Griff (inj)
Newman (inj)
Gordon
In:
McBean
Elton
McDonough
Lennon
Won't happen but that's what I'd like to see.
-
I'll back those changes but only because I'd like to see idiot make some ballsy cAlls.....which we know, ain't gonna happen.
Blokes like Ellis Grigg Houli Newman are his friends.

See what you are saying and I'm with you but to play Thomas would be a big error. Simply turns the ball over nearly every time and makes worse decisions than any other player on our list :help we need to cut deep into our list and move on pets and the coaches :help we all deserve better :banghead

Yes I agree but you contradict yourself and your own philosophy by wanting Hamspud in the team.
We all know he's a bum player and totally out of his depth in the big league.

it doesnt matter a stuff.
shuffling deck chairs on the titanic is the phrase often used
but this is more akin to Francesco Schettino and the Costa Concordia

I agree but you going to keep going with Ivan alone each week
????
Going to be a very long year if he rucks alone each week
Got flogged again today
-
We are getting flogged everyweek who cares.
Club is a rabble.
Team is a rabble.
Maric rucks he gets beaten.
Hampson plays we get beaten.
I seen Maric win taps today and go straight to Ziebell, Swallow and Atley.
We are fornicated.
-
true.
maric won his share of taps but our mids got hammered.
one tap went to space only to see a north mid run onto it for an easy clearance. as the ball streamed towards their goal you could see martin giving someone (miles?) a mouthfull in the corner of the screen for letting his player get such an easy clearance
-
The midfield stoppages out of the ruck have been lamentable all year. I've seen Maric win most of the contests in some quaryers this year but we don't get the ball out of the pack. Something is very wrong there. Very very wrong. Cotch has a massive tag and no one bar no one blocks for him. Stop cotch stop our midfield seems to be the opposition mantra.
-
Hampson wins 41 taps in the ruck.
Ok for the sake of the conversation he plays and wins his fare share of taps.
Swan, Pendlebury, Sidebottom licking their chops whilst Cotch gets a hard tag, Martin looks for outside ball, Lids looks for a pair a slippers a pipe and a robe and Miles tries to plug the hole in the dam. :help

In:
Lennon, C.Ellis, McBean, McDonough, Vickery, Conca (if not injured), Hampson, Menadue
Out:
Newman (injured/drop), Grigg (drop), Gordon (drop), Chaplin (drop), Batchelor (drop), Hunt (drop), McIntosh (drop), Maric (rest up)
How is McKenzie going?
Team
B: Rance, Astbury, Morris
HB: Vlastuin, Grimes, Houli
C: Menadue, Cotchin, C.Ellis
HF: Deledio, Griffiths, Martin
F: Lennon, Reiwoldt, McBean
R: Vickery, Miles, Conca
I: Edwards, Hampson, B.Ellis
S: McDonough
Time to:
Play Vickery as a permanent ruckman!
Drop Chaplin and Batchelor as they offer NOTHING!
Grigg and Newman are DEADWOOD!
Hunt and McIntosh have lost form so they need time in the VFL!
Liam "Muscles" McBean needs to start playing as that second lead up forward!
Lennon as a half forward!
Menadue, time to burn the ground!
Play this team for the next month and you will see a coach realising our genuine potential!
-
Agree besides Lennon and C Ellis is injured
Matt Dea deserves a go
-
chaplin is a plodder potato
woeful
-
Going by Dimma's post-match pressure, Vickery will come back in for another go, to replace Griffiths.
-
Dea.
He's hot number 7 so he definitely deserves a shot.
We can all sleep well knowing that Dea is going to solve all the issues.

Sideshow kicked 3 in the twos.
:dancing :dancing :dancing :dancing :dancing
Bring on next week.
-
Yes Vickery. McBean can kick 90 in the twos.
Newman will break KB's record if Dimma remains coach.
Yeah Dimma.
Everything is awesome.
Everything is cool when your part of a team.
Everything is awesome when your living the dream.

Part of what stuff us today outside that incredibly insipid 20 mins in the 3rd qtr was Griffiths going down after a terrific contest where he gave a 2nd & 3rd effort and got concussed
Stuffed up any chance that Ivan (who was good today until exhaustion took over) had of getting a chop out.
Hate to say it but I don't think we have much choice but to either bring back Vickery as 2nd ruck or Hampson.
-
give Castagna a run, McDonough & Lennon a decent run at it as well. they may or may not be up to it but neither are the rabble playing in the 1's atm either.... surely McBean plays soon.......

Said since NAB Challenge we needed to play Hampson
Otherwise waste of pic
That was the reason they got him in the first case
-
Maric has lost his spring. Not that it was a particular strength previously but it's now even worse.
Would agree that as poor as Hampson is around the ground, it's probably better to go with him for a period now
-
This is I think the 2nd or 3rd year Maric has had no spring? lol
He had spring for 1 year for us only.
People always carry on about how he's better around the ground than Hampson - well what did Maric do around the ground yesterday? Couple of uncontested marks and short kicks?
OUT:
Maric - needs a rest/basically finished
Newman - you're so effing finished it's not funny
Astbury - been poo all effing year so far
Hunt - unless used as a tagger is totally useless
Gordon - not up to it
Griffiths - assuming concussion ongoing, if not then should play
IN:
Hampson - trust me he would be better than Maric atm
Lennon - give the kid a proper crack
C Ellis - if available
Elton - due for a chance
McBean - due for a chance
Thomas - need his mongrel
-
McBean
Elton
McDonough
Lennon
Won't happen but that's what I'd like to see.
The kids :clapping :clapping

Maric's leap yesterday wasn't as bad as it was weeks 1-3

Not sideways or backwards,

Bring in the kids. The side is playing like a bunch of individuals. Unless the side starts playing like a team and improves its use of the ball we are heading towards the bottom of the ladder.

To be honest I don't care who they bring in,for me it makes absolutely no difference..What I want to see from this organisation starting now is a change in attitude. From the playing group I want to see utter commitment to the cause and to each other,i want to see a never say die attitude on the football field.
from the club I want an aggressive off field in all areas..finances,development and recruiting.
I want to see less talk and fluff pieces and more action on the field of competition.
These past few years we the supporters have given and given. We have dug deep into our pockets and pulled the club up by its boot straps,we have attended games and set records in membership...MR RFC we cant do any more in fact from my perspective I refuse to do anymore...over to you RFC.
Further to this it absolutely makes me sick in the guts to read in todays sun that we are no longer considered a big 4 club because this spineless group who represent us each week are soft,in fact the whole club is and has been for a long time.

The Barometer - Round 7
Herald-Sun
May 12, 2015
RICHMOND
ON THE BLOCK: Damien Hardwick flagged changes this week and a few players will be nervous after another disappointing weekend. Taylor Hunt and Kamdyn McIntosh have tired after starting the year well, Nathan Gordon failed to fire as the sub, Shaun Grigg had six clangers and Dave Astbury is struggling. Chris Newman is almost certain to miss against Collingwood and Ben Griffiths is doubtful.
ON THE CUSP: Is it McBean time? Big man Liam McBean kicked five goals in the VFL and must be on the brink of a long-awaited AFL debut. Ty Vickery is a likely inclusion after booting three himself and setting up several more in the 82-point VFL win against North Ballarat. Human rake Connor Menadue also kicked two and could be fast-tracked while Matt Arnott and Matt Thomas won plenty of the footy. Nathan Foley missed with general soreness but should play VFL this week.
AL PATON’S FORECAST: Useless stat quiz — Q. Only two teams have won the inside-50 count in every game this season, can you name them? A. Hawthorn and Richmond. The Tigers have won more quarters than Essendon, Geelong and the Bulldogs and have a higher percentage than North Melbourne and Port Adelaide. So what the hell is going on? List depth is a broader (and serious) issue but in terms of getting a win on the board against Collingwood — another team the Tigers have a poor recent record against, having not beaten the Pies since 2007 — avoiding disastrous concentration lapses would be a good place to start. Richmond conceded four goals in five minutes against Geelong then seven in third-quarter implosion on Saturday. Win on Sunday and the Tigers are back in the pack. Another loss and they are 2-5 with a trip to Port Adelaide to follow. Massive week.

The Hawks aren't exactly setting the world on fire this season, therefore the more important stat is efficiency once inside 50m and i would guess we would be close to the bottom of the pack for that stat.

The inside 50 stat is a blight on Hardwick. The efficiency once you are inside 50 is super important but it will suffer if you chip it sideways and wait for all 18 opponents to get back into the 50 before you go in. We just don't allow ourselves to get a clean touch in there.

RICHMOND
Damien Hardwick declared it was time for the Tigers to blood more young players after another disappointing loss, potentially opening the door for third-year forward Liam McBean. The 20-year-old, who is yet to debut, kicked five goals in the Tigers' VFL win and must be in the selection frame this week as a replacement for Ben Griffiths, who could be unavailable due to concussion. Ty Vickery (three goals) is another option if the Tigers go down the same path. The Tigers could also opt to elevate rookie midfielder Matt Arnot (24 possessions and five clearances) or half-back Jason Castagna, who pushed forward to kick two goals in the VFL. The intriguing question is, who won't make the cut if the Tigers swing the axe and look to the future?
