5th graders everywhere are barring up.

I really liked this article. Namely because pretty my everyone on this forum agrees that Brandon Ellis is not very damaging with his 25+ disposals. I'm glad that there is some sort of quantification that reaffirms this.
Not sure if Brandon reads news about himself but hopefully it's something he works on because considering he often goes untagged, it would be an absolute asset if he hurt the opposition with his disposal

Agree
Said it before if Ellis B, wants to hurt the opposition the dink little chip kicks isn't going to cut it

How is Jeremy Cameron the most wasteful forward. If you could clone him you'd put 3 of him in your forward 50 and other teams would cack their dacks.
-
The only thing Ellis does well is finds the footy. Nothing else
-
Who would have thought?... But he gets so many kicks?... :shh
At least he has a chance to turn it around. :cheers
-
Look, he's a better player than he's been

Oh look, Matty Whites been fantastic for us this yea.......what's that? He's at Port Adelaide now? Well what did we get for hi.....Nothing??!!...*cough cough*....poo, erm....look, well...erm, oh look, Brendon Ellis's stats may not appear to be effective, but in a funny sort of way, the numbers say he has been very effective, and that's important to us
-
Whites poo only good for the highlight reel
Prefer Ellis any day of the week
-
Westhoff, Dawes, Podsiadly, Darling and Black...
VS
Cameron, Kennedy, Cloke, Schulz and Walker...
Spin the numbers however you want. I know which five forwards I'd rather have...

Good endurance, good over head
-
Can kick a good goal. Would consider trying him forward personally

Lets see! as I understand it they have rationalised each player against 30 possies, this is what I don't get, how can you?.... if it takes say Matty white nearly three games to get them whereas Brandon Ellis nearly averages that per game. If my Aunty had gonads she'd be my Uncle.

Effective disposals vs non-effective. Metres gained. Goal assists. And others. It's pretty easy to paint the picture. All the statisticians at the ground look at these and other measures.

Strange article , would typically take Matt white a fortnight to knock up 30 possies :shh just going on facts, others might see it different

What about % of time on field, how many disposals prior to the first one, position played and contested v non contested.
I could imagine it's a lot harder for B.Ellis to continually hit targets when he's running through the midfield all day every day racking up kicks whereas Matt White sits on a half forward stuff getting the odd kick now and again.
That being said, Ellis' kicks have been absolutely awful as of late :banghead

Edwards :thumbsup

Well we all seen high impact Matt White at his best.
FFS didnt even give a highlight reel moment
Even the dumb poo commentators can see it and said that if the team isnt performing neither is Matt White
