WHO has the best chance of making finals?
We look at every club’s run home and their chances of playing in September with Champion Data’s in-depth analysis.
5. RICHMOND 36 112%
Round 16 - St Kilda (ES)
Round 17 - Fremantle (MCG)
Round 18 - Hawthorn (MCG)
Round 19 - Adelaide (AO)
Round 20 - Gold Coast (MCG)
Round 21 - Collingwood (MCG)
Round 22 - Essendon (MCG)
Round 23 - North Melbourne (ES)
WE SAY: After this weekend the Tigers should need only three, or possibly two, more wins to lock in a third straight finals appearance. Fremantle and Hawthorn is a tough two weeks but then come a string of games against teams in a similar or worse position. Round 23 could be a mini-final for the Roos, Richmond might need the win to cement a home final in week one.
CHAMPION DATA SAYS: The Tigers inside work has been a main reason for the climb up the ladder since Round 10. They have averaged 10.6 more contested possessions per game than their opposition, winning the count by at least 12 in their last four matches.

I'm going to be conservative and say 4 wins. Don't want to get ahead of myself.
However I believe we are quite capable of 6 wins of the 8. And that is probably what the club should be setting as the bare minimum. Though I'm sure they back themselves in to win more than they lose
-
Just too many times bitten by this club, losses against Melbourne and bulldogs and a start of 2-4 leaves me praying it will change.
Good wins followed by average on the brink wins against teams we should put away, just leaves me in doubt.
Stkilda we should put away, but we won't. I'll take a 1 point win at this stage.
I'll say 4 in hope, possible 6 if we are nearing being fair dinkum :gotigers

Round 16 - St Kilda (ES) - worried about this. But should win.
Round 17 - Fremantle (MCG) - win.
Round 18 - Hawthorn (MCG) - loss.
Round 19 - Adelaide (AO) - win
Round 20 - Gold Coast (MCG) - win
Round 21 - Collingwood (MCG) - 50/50 on this. Depends on form lines of both clubs.
Round 22 - Essendon (MCG) - win
Round 23 - North Melbourne (ES) - loss.
I'll say 5 wins including the Saints.
-
I tipped 4.
Our history & the fear of not knowing which Richmond team will turn up on the day, for we are a team equally capable of both losing to the Saints & beating the Hawks on any given day.
Our interstate form gives me hope but our MCG form concerns me as do our scoring deficiencies.
-
I went 4.
We should win 4 out of St Kilda, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Essendon, Collingwood
Be nice to snag one of Freo, Hawks, Nought
-
Interestin looks like 4 or 5 is the popular number.
If we win 5 would this put us in the top 4?
-
8 or stuff off
