Vickery is back from suspension and Hampson looks likely to miss with injury
So straight swap
Who else
Fire away
-
All the spuds were pretty good
Honourable loss :cheers
-
Out- Houli
Make a statement DH, that brain fades like today are not tolerated. He has cost the club a chance of a top 4 spot, which intern means he has cost us any chance!
-
Hammer/Vickery yes, and pee hunt off for dea
-
Out: Lloyd, Hunt
In: Not Lloyd, Not Hunt
-
outs: Hampson, Lloyd, Newman (better tonight but was still a momentum killer at crucial times)
Ins: Vickery, Ellis C, a rookie please
-
The rookie would have to be either Thomarse or Arnot - there's no-one else that can be upgraded atm.
Ironically, Newman played his best game since his mini-purple patch of 2012 which ended when Ross Lyon & Fremantle shut him down at the MCG....nonetheless, I'm glad someone else noticed that his usual momentum killing crap still reared it's ugly head at crucial stages of the match.

Yes 12 minutes into the final qtr marks it has blokes streaming forward and he stopped looked around and then went backwards..momentum goneskis
And I thought we had the one place left on our list. Alternatively, Arnott could be put back and someone else upgraded
-
Hunt out for Dea or even Conca , 28 possies in vfl
-
What's the point playing dea is he is peeing off
-
Out Hampson (inj) Lloyd (omit) Newman (omit) for going backwards.
Ins; Vickery, R Conca, C. Ellis, Menadue,
-
Alternatively, Arnott could be put back and someone else upgraded
Can you chop and change your rookies over as you please? Didn't occur to me that you could change them, always thought once they were upgraded they were upgraded (except for LTI then they go back onto rookie list when the other player returns to main list)
-
BEST
Arnot, Cachia, R.Conca, Astbury, Dea, Scott, Barlow
Lol
Dimma hates him?
Who?
Concs would be handy
Astbury dimma doesnt like him?
Dea apparently leaving club.
Who
Who

My understanding is if you upgrade they must be on the list for minimum period of time. Once that's time is up you can either keep them on the main list or put them back on the rookie list. That time for Arnott is up so I think we can move him back
I'd be checking either way ;D
And stand correct if my understanding of what I've told is incorrect

Love for this to happen to keep the vfl listed players desire burning at a senior recall but we all know it won't.
I think Morris will come back in purely for defensive match ups
-
In - Ty, Dea
Out - Hampson, Lloyd
Play Dea in the back half and play Hunt on the wing. Newman as the sub but gee he is lucky to get a game.
IMO we miss Conca around the contest but he needs one more game in the VFL.
-
outs: Hampson, Lloyd, Newman (better tonight but was still a momentum killer at crucial times)

Agree WP with your Newman comments :clapping
-
OUT: Hampson (injured), Batch, Lloyd, Newman
IN: Vickery, Dea, Ellis, Conca
But in all honesty expect Newman, Batch and Lloyd to stay.. :whistle :whistle :whistle
-
Why isnt Dea getting a game? It makes no sense playing Newman over Dea
while Chris had a fair game there is no development upside in playing him. He is a great momentum killer.
i also note Hunts game isnt the best besides Hampson he was the only player who didnt lay a tackle
in,, vicks, dea, knights
out,,hampson, newman hunt
out,,newman hunt

We all know dropping Houli won't happen but doing it would send a strong message that if you refuse to do what has been preach for 5 years, you will learn the hard way. I'm 100% sure Luke Bereridge would. I don't think it's a bad tool to use to stress that some things are just not tolerated. It's not the end of the world being dropped and I'm sure Houli would remember his mistake a lot longer if he actually had to pay the price for it in this small way.
-
Conca will play next week I reckon
-
Griff was terrible yesterday but will survive coz hampsons gone and maric cant do ruck all day on his own. I though Lloyd was very poor when he came on.

I don't reckon he will ever do that again if in the same position. He doesn't need to be sent back to enforce the message to him. But sending him back would send the message loud & clear to every other player on the list that going outside team rules is unacceptable.

Why didn't Knights and McDonough play in the 2's yesterday?
-
IN:
Conca, Vickery, McBean, McDonough
OUT:
Hunt, Hampson (Inj), Lloyd, Griffiths (Inj),
Team v Hawthorn
B: Grimes, Rance, Vlastuin
HB: Conca, Batchelor, Chaplin
C: Houli, Martin, B.Ellis
HF: Lennon, Deledio, McDonough
F: Vickery, Riewoldt, McBean
R: Maric, Miles, Cotchin
I: Newman, Grigg, McIntosh
S: Lambert
Personally, when Edwards comes back in, one of Lambert, Newman, Grigg need to go!
Players like Grigg and Hunt need to do more when the match is hot!
-
Why didn't Knights and McDonough play in the 2's yesterday?
Both injured
Knights will play twos next week
-
big call!
-
stuff it - just pick all the hacks and tell them to go the knuckle.

Seriously? Newman is the weak link in that group by a long margin, even though his game yesterday wasn't as bad as the ones preceding.

Doc Larkins:
"Richmond ruckman Shaun Hampson was a 50/50 proposition for Friday night's blockbuster against Hawthorn."

The Barometer - Round 18
Herald-Sun

RICHMOND
ON THE BLOCK: Shaun Hampson will be assessed after rolling an ankle against the Dockers. He was replaced at half-time by Sam Lloyd who looked dangerous but couldn’t land the killer blow - but he wasn’t alone there. Taylor Hunt struggled to contain Michael Walters at some key moments late in the game.
ON THE CUSP: Richmond’s VFL side was on the brink of a third straight win before being overrun by Sandringham in the last quarter. But there was good news in the form of Reece Conca (28 disposals, five tackles) in his first full game back from a serious hamstring injury. Liam McBean kicked four goals, Matt Arnot had 33 touches and Corey Ellis came through his comeback game unscathed.
AL PATON’S FORECAST: How much more can be written about how many chances Richmond had to beat the team on top of the ladder? Bachar Houli made a blunder with the final kick-in but it was one of long list of missed opportunities, including Dustin Martin’s 0.4 (three posters, including one from 15m) and allowing Matt Taberner to take a pack mark that he converted after the half-time siren. But the Tigers don’t have time to wallow in self-pity with Hawthorn on Friday night. A recent record as good as anyone’s against the Hawks (wins in 2012 and 2013 before copping a pummelling last year) provides some hope, but this will be the big test for the Alex Rance-led stingy defence. Can they keep the Hawks to a gettable score?

RICHMOND
Midfielder Reece Conca is almost ready to return after playing two VFL games in his comeback from a long-term hamstring injury. Conca played three quarters against Sandringham at the weekend, racking up 28 possessions. He hasn't played a senior game this year and could be rushed in to face Hawthorn on Friday night.
Tall forward Ty Vickery will return from suspension, possibly replacing ruckman Shaun Hampson, who faces a fitness test after suffering an ankle injury in round 17.
The wildcard is young midfielder Corey Ellis, who returned from a stuff hip injury to kick one goal in the VFL. His clean ball use could be an asset against the Hawks.

Yeah. A real wild card since he is going to have 6 weeks off due to surgery! :lol
-
Confirmed - At least two forced changes.
----------------------------
Hardwick ruled out Shaun Hampson with an ankle injury and Ben Griffiths with a finger injury but said Ty Vickery would return from a two-match suspension.
He also said that talented midfielder Reece Conca was a big chance to play his first game of the season after winning 28 possessions at VFL level as he returned from hamstring problems that had bedevilled him all season.
"We were pretty happy with his form last week. He is an important player so once again it's a selection dilemma," Hardwick said.\\
