By all reports we got through tonight unscathed although Floss had a large ice pack on his right shoulder blade.
Fire away with your changes, if any?
-
Cant drop Lennon
Kicks laser beams
-
Newman out
:thumbsup
-
Edwards if fit, Lloyd out.

A lot of the boys looking sore in the room after with many wearing ice. Just that team of the year when everyone's sore I guess especially after a tough tough game.
Would like to see no changes.. maybe mcbean in for lloyd to stretch the crows defence
-
No change, Edwards can get another week off just to make sure he is fine.
-
Ralphy was saying last night after the game on Fox that Edwards hasn't done much training but thinks himself a chance. Sounded like he will be close but will be rested up one more week.
-
the player most people would want to make way for edwards is also the most unlikely.
Id like to see lloyd given a run of games so he has a chance to adjust to the pace, but hell probably be the one.
-
Wouldn't be rushing Edwards back.

Play McBean.
The kid is ready for another crack.
He could be that something special we need in our forwardline.
-
Yep bean is best 22
-
Who's mc bean gunna replace? Doing well all the same and love to see him in but...
-
If it's dry I'd go Mcbean in for Lennon :shh

bachelor, vickery lucky, apologies to Hunt - my view is that the secondary aim of the game after winning grand finals should be to get games into that core; in order to build a successful long term vision
of those not currently in the team, McBean is the most pressing issue. McBean + Titch are pretty solid ins (one day)
personally, i look forward to having corey ellis (mr49%) in the mix too as he looks class
as others have said - huge end of year period. we should really go hard topping up to add some proven cream on top of the cake

-
I think its Bean time..he is quickly learning and needs to be given a red hot go at it
-
Do not believe they will make any changes. McBean deserves a recall to the seniors. Would not risk Edwards. Give him an extra week.

#StandbyGriff
i like both griff and vickery. i think they are both fighting for one spot if everyone is fit. they are both frustrating and you wish they could pull the finger out and develop a bit faster. bit soft missing the season with a finger ffs...

I'd be trading Griffiths and seriously consider trading Vickery as well. Would also be trying to get Kreuzer via f.a. - get his best mate Cotchin in his ear.

You'd trade almost anyone is the price was right
-
Just been told Vickery is DEEP in talks with Collingwood!
Dude says they are very confident he'll cross over.

Why? What has Griffiths actually done apart from get injured? Vickery has talent to burn but is lazy, inconsistent, mentally weak & can't ruck. Never kicked more than 4 in a match - even Carlisle has kicked 8. Clubs always pay overs for talls. We have McBean & McKenzie waiting in the wings , Elton can play up forward as can Astbury if we keep him, then there's Maric & Hamspud. We would get Kreuzer for nothing & could get someone like Carlisle who on exposed senior form are both better than any KPP currently on our list outside Rance & Riewoldt. You've got to give to get.

Yep Vickery would be VERY handy at collingwood. They would kill for a chopnout for cloke. Can catch, kick in a forward direction. They been looking for a keyforward for how long? Rocca?
Again, I'd keep both unless it was a sterling offer.
Hes contracted so suck my balls

We have persevered with vickery and he is starting to be consistent, i think Griff is improving, remember thay are big boys, i think they are just about to show their real value, obviously i could be wrong but i think their upside is good, kreuzer is very injury prone and to be honest if he was any good carlton would be keeping him as one of the pillars of their rebuilding phase. Carlisle same argument, if he was any good Ess wouldn't let him go. Mind you we got Bacher off Ess and he has had a lot of positives.

Seeing Vickery is contracted would need to be a mega good deal.
Minimum 1st round pick.
We hold the aces, play hardball, though can't see the RFC trading him

Rubbish
It wont happen
-
the more i see griffiths the more i think vickery is one of the most important members of our team.
Must keep and IMO offer a new extended contract right about now.
-
griff has the potential to be far better than TY .I actually think he could be an absolute gun but alas he probably wont be
-
IN: Edwards (if fit)
OUT: Lloyd (if Edwards is fit)
WHAT IT SHOULD REALLY BE!
IN: Edwards, McBean
OUT: Lloyd, Newman
-
How's the kick for goal that symbolically stopped before the finish line.
-

G, I agree with you But i dont think the Griff and Vickery story at RFC is anywhere near over, next year will prove them one way or another, we have put so much time into these 2 and i think they are just about to blossom, :shh

The Barometer - Round 19
Herald-Sun
August 3, 2015
RICHMOND
ON THE BLOCK: Any player would be unlucky to be dropped after what some have labelled the Tigers’ best win since the 1995 second semi-final. But forwards Sam Lloyd (starting sub) and Ben Lennon (subbed off) are most vulnerable if Shane Edwards returns. Reece Conca injected some pace in his first game for the season.
ON THE CUSP: Edwards would be a huge inclusion after three weeks out with a broken leg and if Shaun Hampson is fit, Damien Hardwick says he’s keen to play two rucks. A disappointing loss for Richmond’s second-tier side, with the highlight Liam McBean’s five goals, which moved him to the top of the VFL goalkicking ladder. Matt Thomas had 35 disposals, Matt Dea 28 and Matt McDonough 27. Chris Knights missed again for the second week in a row as the club continues to carefully manage his body in the hope of having him available for September.
AL PATON’S FORECAST: Plenty of newspaper inches have been used up already on the Tigers’’ fantastic performance, which thrust them into premiership discussions. But the win was just as valuable in shoring up a spot in the top eight. The top four now seems out of reach thanks to Sydney’s easy run home, so Richmond has to keep winning to keep pace with the Dogs and stay ahead of North Melbourne (two more teams with a pretty comfortable fixture). A win against Adelaide on Friday night would just about lock in a third straight September appearance.

Must admit Conca did seem quicker than what I remember from last year, looks like he may have slimmed down a bit.

He mentions on the club website that he's been through a mini preseason in the past 8 weeks and he is fresh.

If ruckman Shaun Hampson passes a fitness test on his injured ankle this week, he could be recalled to give the Tigers an edge against Adelaide big man Sam Jacobs. Ivan Maric is in top form, but a two-pronged ruck attack would be valuable against the Crows.
Tall forward Liam McBean will also be considered after kicking five goals for the Tigers' VFL team at the weekend. The 20-year-old has now kicked 14 goals in the past three weeks.
Other changes are unlikely, with Shane Edwards at least one more week away with a leg injury.

Reece McKenzie has flown to Adelaide.
--------------------------------------------------------
3:02pm: WILL HE OR WON'T HE?
Mystery still surrounds Richmond star Brett Deledio, with the important Tiger far from certain to take his place against Adelaide on Friday night.
There have been suggestions Deledio was given extra time to spend with his newborn baby before travelling to Adelaide and Richmond legend Kevin Bartlett suggested on SEN he was part of a rest and rotate policy at Punt Road Oval before the finals.
Deledio had been ill and did not fly with his teammates on Thursday but the Tigers were adamant he would travel on Friday.
Young Tiger Reece McKenzie tweeted on Friday he was travelling to Adelaide, but not with Deledio. Steven Morris is his likely replacement.
Reece McKenzie @reecemck21
Off to Adelaide ✈

“Illness is one of the most common reasons players miss games in July and August in AFL circles,” Dr Peter Larkins said.
"Any viral illness takes the players energy away, but they can leave that until the last minute because it’s not as if they’re worried about any injury breakdown."
Matt Thompson @MattThompson
Next @VirginAustralia flight to land in Adelaide from Melbourne is due at 3.30 local time. Unconfirmed speculation Brett Deledio is on it.

Why McKenzie anyway and not McBean?
VFL side not playing this week
Club has always made sure during the course of the season that a 1st year player unlikely to debut gets the opportunity to travel with the team to experience interstate travelling and what is excepted. It is part of the player development
For memory 2 of the young guys went down to Tassie earlier in the season
You'll find McBean travelled last year

From the AFL website:
BRETT Deledio is out of Richmond's side to play Adelaide due to illness.
The midfielder hasn't trained all week and is believed to be battling flu-like symptoms.
The club had been hopeful he could play despite missing the team flight on Thursday.
News crews had been camped at Adelaide Airport all day watching to see if the Tigers superstar would arrive in the city of churches.
In his 13 games this season, the Tigers have lost on just three occasions.
The club is yet to confirm a replacement.

Lids with a bad flu according to Mark Stevens and Richo on Ch 7. Despite social media rumours earlier, Lids obviously didn't leave Melbourne today. He woke up this morning and still felt ill.
