A reality now.
-
But we beat the Hawks. :rollin
-
Settle down girls, we only need two more wins.
-
Pretty down after this. Just when you think we've turned the corner they dish this crap up. Seen it all before
-
Dimma is crap

Don't have enough high quality players and still carrying far too many duds - just one star goes out and we go from outmuscling the red hot flag favourites to being outmuscled by a mediocre mid-table side within a week. Some serious and aggressive forward thinking during trade week is required.

Who are the duds?
Why don't you name them as you agree with statement
-
Grigg
Lloyd
Conca
Hampson
Hunt
There's 5 who I don't rate at all

Big girls month has begun.

That's why Morris, Batch, Grigg, Conco, Grimes and a few others need to be put on the table for trade.
-
Roos win by plenty and we are 7th :'(
-
we will make the finals. our team is capable of beating anyone. yesterday was disappointing but we have been up for a while. lets move on towards victory next week.

Grimes is one of our better players and still hasn't even hit his ceiling - missed him badly after he was subbed out with injury.

Agree but we can't get a season out of him, he has value and must be considered.

A wake up call is not such a bad thing on the eve of the finals.
Every team has them.
No need to lose our heads.
-
This must be how Hawthorn felt after losing to us

You mean minus the comfort of already having back to back flags and three flags since 2008 already under their belts?

If they are happy living in the past, sure

To be honest if we did head into finals like last year after having strung a number of wins together you just know a loss is around the corner, its just so hard to be up for every game. Obviously last night we were very down but with a handful of games to the finals its now a case of building momentum so that we are cherry ripe at the right time. It is a marathon not a sprint so time will tell whether we have the form at the business end of the season to make some impact.

I would have taken the win any day but at least we can now take a look how the kind of opposition we will face first week of finals will play against us and now we have to go back through the vision and find a way to beat it. No loss is good but you're right that it is probably a good time to have one if any time there was. We have the second best form line over the past 27 weeks, we just need a couple more where it matters and I take back my criticisms of Hardwick. I believe he can take us to the promised land but the personal is just a bit lacking at the moment.
-
Finals are in no way a lock. Adelaide winning last night means nothing short of 13 wins is required. Go to the AFL ladder predictor and see how it finishes. We'll need %, and to pick up a win against North or the Pies (assuming we beat GC and the Bummers).
Its that tight. Last night hurt in a lot of ways, massive reality check, but most importantly its hurt out finals campaign big time.
-
If swans/hawks lose what could have been in terms of top 4.
This weekend's results look like they are going to pan out the worst possible way!!
-
We are 2 pts away from ninth now . Finals are very much alive for all 9/10 teams
-
Given the hit to our percentage and North with their soft draw playing Melbourne tomorrow, we'll end up dropping to 7th by the end of this round :-\.
1. Fremantle 60* 127%
2. West Co. 54 150%
3. Hawthorn 52 162%
4. Bulldogs 48 117.1%
5. Sydney 48 112.4%
6. Richmond 44 108.9%
7. Geelong 42 104.6%
8. Adelaide 42 104.5%
----------------------------
9. North 40* 107.2%
10. Coll'wood 36 111.9%
11. GWS 36* 100.3%
-
The non game between Geelong and Adelaide could really come and bite us.
-
There's 4 games left. I think we can win 3 if not 4 of them but jeez wouldn't be suprised if we finish 8th and the doggies host us at Etihad :-\ in week 1
-
If we make it, there is no way known that the AFL would fixture a Richmond final at Etihad. It's all about the cash
-
We have never been a premiership contender this year despite the media carrying like somehow we are.
To be a premiership contender you have to be guaranteed a place in this the finals.
And again despite the media talking us up we weren't in that position going into Friday night's game and it's now Sunday and we are still not in that position
Have always maitained get yourself into the finals first and then worry about where you finish
So my tip to the RFC is win 2 more games, lock up a finals birth and then see where you finish
And BTW if we make it there is no way the AFL will schedule us at Etihad. sugary is 100% correct, it's about money and we will guarantee big crowds
-
Officially now 7th.
1. Fremantle 60* 127%

The Run Home after Round 19
afl.com.au
August 10, 2015
7. Richmond
44 points (11 wins, seven losses) 108.9 per cent
Bachar Houli's ill-conceived kick-out against Fremantle two weeks ago, which cost the Tigers the win, continues to haunt them. Instead of being out of fourth on percentage, they're a game and nine per cent behind and of more concern now is that they could still miss the finals altogether. With the Suns and Bombers still to come, they should win at least two more but Collingwood and North will be problematic unless the Tigers can hit the scoreboard a bit more.
The run home:
Rd 20: Gold Coast at the MCG
Rd 21:Collingwood at the MCG
Rd 22: Essendon at the MCG

Just did the Ladder predictor and we'll finish 9th unless we can beat all of Gold Coast, Collingwood and Essendon. Assume we lose to North at Ethiad as don't think we've got within 5 goals of those knobs at that joint.
That draw between Adelaide and Geelong as a result of Phil Walsh passing could mean both teams finish 2 pts above us. :-X
-
We're gone. Thanks Bachar....
-
If we can't beat Gold Coast , Essengone or a team that has recently lost 6 on the trot - do we really deserve to be there.
At least our destiny is in our own hands.
-
Reckon we will make it just .. and I mean just
Hence, why I didn't get too carried away when we beat Hawthorn
Yep it was a great win but it at no stage did it mean we were a lock for the top 8
-
We're mediocre and will be until Hardwick and the incompetent list managers are all shown the door....
-
We're gone. Thanks Bachar....
cmon mate, your being racist :shh
-
Eddie told me to post that.....

we will win against Gold Coast, Collingwood and Essendon. I expect us to win against Norf. We will finish 5th IMHO but could finish 4th if we can punish Gold Coast, Collingwood and Essendon percentage wise. Its Tiger Time ;D

Richmond (7th, 11-7, 108.9%)
Finals: 79%
Top 4: 9%
Difficulty of remaining draw: 16th (average percentage of opponent — 97.13%)
ROUND 20: Gold Coast Suns at MCG, Sunday early
ROUND 21: Collingwood at MCG, Sunday early
ROUND 22: Essendon at MCG, Saturday night
ROUND 23: North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium, Friday night
BRETT Deledio can’t mean that much, can he? The Tigers looked terrible on Friday night against Adelaide and undid all of their good work in beating Hawthorn, in terms of the top four race. They’re in fact now seemingly a chance to drop out of the top eight! But calm down, Tiger fans. Richmond still has a four in five shot of playing in September based on our numbers, and if they win the games they really should, they will be fine. In fact from our projections, Round 23 will just be a warm-up for an Elimination final replay, unless a nine point percentage gap between them and the Bulldogs can be recovered.
FOX FOOTY’S PROJECTION — four wins, finishing 15-7 (sixth on percentage)

Surely we're due for some luck :pray

Sorry but the ladder is laughable :rollin anyhow we shall see :whistle

Lets just concentrate on winning against the Suns. If we are to have any chance of reaching the finals we must thrash the suns.

If the Suns beat us its goodnight

AFL 2015: we look at the teams fighting for top two, top four and top eight finishes
Herald-Sun
August 11, 2015
THE battle is heating up as the final home and away round approaches and finals are on the horizon, with places in the top two, top four and top eight all up for grabs.
We take a look at who does your team plays in the final four rounds of the AFL season and predict where your team might finish.
Will Hawthorn secure that all-important double chance? Will Geelong sneak into the finals? Or can GWS go on a winning spree and qualify for their first ever finals series?
Plus, will it be Carlton or Brisbane for the dreaded wooden spoon?
