Pretty much this
Reckon the lineup is settled unless a forced changed.
Conca could get a call up if someone is injured over the next week though Id say thats it
-
Thomas should, stay in, was outstanding . Give newy a rest for cotch :shh

That is one scary comment. You must have reserved seats at the Adelaide oval.
-
Aside from Thomas out and Cotch in, it won't surprise me if, out of the blue, Morris is brought back in to match-up on one of North's small forwards. All depends if Dimma trusts Grimesy or Batch to do the 'small defender' role.
-
Different train of thought
Play two ruckman and see if we can fix up Goldstein
Think Goldstein is the key to North

Bo have say i agree with you

I would think about bringing in McBean and stretch them down back. That way Vickery can give Ivan a chop out and we can play with three big forwards. Thompson, Firrito and Hansen will struggle.
Rest Dusty in the forward line or play him alternating with Deledio as mid and resting forward.
First half Etihad last year Dusty had 4 and was BOG until it all fell apart after half time but that wasn't due to the structure and play of the first half.
Dry ground, tall timber we have the players and the plan, we can do this. Grounds will only get drier in September. More sunlight, better, warmer weather. It may just be our launching pad.
Turned our season around in May with the three talls. Use Jack, Ty and Liam to our advantage.
It won't be a question of tight and tough early I reckon they will try to blow us away early and manage the margin therein much like our NAB challenge game in March.
It won't happen but Newman out could facilitate this.
Scary thing ting is if there was one change for Cotch, I also am leaning towards Newman's omission more than Thomas as I see North as outside runners as opposed to more of your contested footy side. Their game against Freo last week proved it. They got killed in contested footy and simply outran a static low scoring Freo.
What I would like to see.
Outs. Newman, Thomas
Ins. Cotchin, McBean.

As Don has highlighted, jack and the beanstalk action can really give us more fire power in F50. Which unfortunately means either Lloyd or dare I say Newman needs to make way

Win we stay at home and play the first final at the G, lose we end up in Adelaide.
I know what I'd prefer!!
-
Rest 15 players.
Lose by 15 goals and play dogs first week of finals.
-
Rest the whole 21
-
stuff newman off. He will cause us to lose, if not this week, a final,
-
1 player doesnt cause a loss. I agree he shouldnt be playing but that's the way it is. out of curiosity, who comes in for him ?

Dea for backline, McDonuts for forwards take your pick

We should just play our best available side & play to win! Stuffing around with our side & flirting with form just doesn't suit us, look how we went after the bye against the Eagles - we started flat & stayed that way, got done by 20 points.
Keep the wheels turning like every other week of the year & go into an important final with some momentum.
Other results aren't our concern, no matter what happens with the finishing order we still need to win every game we play anyway. It doesn't matter who we play, where we play them or when, we still have to win! Bring it on! :gotigers

was the reason they lost the flag - cause they rested some players in the home and away season?

When a player takes his eye off the ball & takes the easy way out he gets beaten. Same goes for teams. Make winning your habit & you will win! Never shirk a bump, never walk away wondering, never wait for tomorrow ... Carpe diem!

Richmond vice-captain Brett Deledio should be fit to take his place in the team for Friday night's important clash with North Melbourne.
The Tigers star forward is still feeling the effects of a jarred neck sustained in a dangerous tackle applied by Bomber Courtenay Dempsey.
Richmond has ruled out a concussion, although Larkins is not so sure.
"He had a sore neck out of that reportable incident and he's likely to be right to play," Larkins said.
"Whether or not there was a minor concussion is contentious because there wasn't time left (in the game) to go through the concussion process.
"But it was interesting his own comment was 'I came to when the trainers were treating me on the ground,' so that tells me that he didn't know where he was and he at least was somewhat disorientated and therefore potentially concussed.
"By that very comment, it tells me that there was more than just a simple jarred neck.
"I’m sure Tigers medical staff will assess him as required to cover all medical aspects.”

The Barometer - Round 23
Herald-Sun
September 1, 2015
RICHMOND
ON THE BLOCK: Brett Deledio has a stiff neck but says he’ll be right to play after being dumped on his head by Courtenay Dempsey. Hard to make too much of the stats on a waterlogged Saturday night slog but Sam Lloyd had just three kicks after coming on as the sub. The conditions suited Matt Thomas (20 disposals, six clearance) but he’s likely to be back out of the side for the returning skipper. Dustin Martin will be looking to bounce back after being blanketed by Heath Hocking.
ON THE CUSP: Trent Cotchin will return after taking a week off to rest a sore back. Richmond’s VFL side ended their season with another loss, with a late comeback falling short against Essendon at Windy Hill. Matt Dea (31 disposals) and David Astbury (23 disposals, 10 marks) were the Tigers’ best, Liam McBean kicked two goals and Chris Knights (29 touches, one goal) kept the finals flame flickering.
AL PATON’S FORECAST: The conditions and a gallant Essendon put paid to any plans for a pre-finals percentage boost but the Tigers did what they had to do, pocketing their eighth win from the past 10 games. This Friday night is massive. Win against the Kangaroos - something Richmond hasn’t done since 2011 - and it sets up a likely return date in an elimination final. Lose and Tiger fans could be booking their bus tickets for another trip to Adelaide in week one of the finals. Not ideal.

In the Mix - Round 23

Captain Trent Cotchin has declared he will return from a one-week break with a back injury to tune up for the finals. Midfielder Reece Conca could also be available, leaving the Tigers with a decision to make after three weeks sidelined with a hamstring. The risk of bringing Conca straight into a final would likely be too much of a risk, so do they roll the dice now and hope he holds up? The incentive to win the final home and away game is clear for the Tigers to avoid an away final against Adelaide, so the prospect of resting players is unlikely. Brett Deledio is the only star the club could rest if it decides later in the week he would benefit after suffering neck tightness.

Everyone is saying Lids will play Friday night but there's still no guarantee based on what our club doctor told the Tribunal tonight.
Deledio is expected to face North Melbourne on Friday night after training and passing a concussion test on Tuesday.
He was, however, unconscious briefly after the tackle and Dr Hickey told the Tribunal he would be monitored for the rest of the week.
