If he didn't show up I reckon that's pretty gutless. No good if he did that. He needs to face the music.

Who cares.
We lost.
The pressure is on him next year.
The media will be a cavalcade of whimsy around him.
Let's see how much the players love him or how his game plan stands up.

Cotchin did the press conference. Then Hardwick did another. At least that is what was played out on radio.

Didn't want to face the music.
Pass mark all season was supposed to be a finals win.
By his own standards and the ones the club spruiked on the fans he failed.

He sent Cotch out first to talk about his 9 possession game.
To then talk about contested footy and the failure of the club as a whole.

I know Port lost 3 home finals in 01/02/03 but they did still win finals in 02/03 before winning the flag in 04. Lol at those of us 1 month ago wanting GWS to sneak in so we can have an armchair ride. :-\

As opposed to us dropping an F bomb looking at the ins.
Then watching Hansen chop us up as the spare man.
Waite play the game of his life against us in teo elim finals out of the last 3.
Boomer going bezerk and playing like a bloke who's 22 not 37.
Watching our stars in Cotch, Dusty, Lids and co shrink from supernova to dwarf status.

The F bomb he possibly dropped Doc in the presser is the least of his problems. ;D

I read the header , press conference , no hardwick , which was bs , tbh I'd be more interested to hear the one Cotchin did

Exactly all the justified pre game borries Dooks had to contend with. ;D

Next year in the last year of his contract he will be under so much pressure.
A bad start like this year and he may be gonskis.
Needs the club to take the chequebook out or those supposed FTF dollars we've all been paying for.
2016 or bust for him and the club. It's as simple as that.
After making finals 3 years running its a minimum of a Prelim or the dole queue. :-\

Actually heard the HUN's Sam Edmund on Gold104 talking about Dimma' presser

Said he did drop the "F" bomb because some stupid journo left their mobile on

Also said:

* Dimma was still fuming when he came into the presser.

* He gave the players an almighty bake behind closed doors after the game

* the Cotchin had nothing to do with the Dimma presser

Understand people want to pot the coach was yesterday's debacle but parts of this thread are factually wrong  ;D

Wonder what he meant and who he directed these words at when ripping into the players after the
loss " never, never ,never again"

Some might have their papers stamped when it comes to wearing the gurnsey.

and that would be the right response. at some point the players have to take responsibility.

Newman misses an easy one in the first quarter - Newman retired
Griffiths misses and easy one in the first quarter - Griffiths should go too. He has all the ability in the world but never delivers.
Chaplin decides he can run around Nahas and costs us a goal - Chaplin should be sacked
Conca turns over the footy and costs us a goal In the last quarter - Conca should be traded.

And there were many other mistakes. The coach made some shockers too but if Newman kicks a goal we get 5 points more, if Griffiths kicks the goal we get 5 points more (10) If chaplin just kicks in properly and doesn't pretend he is francis bourke we save a goal (16) and if Conca hits a target we don't concede the goal we did (22 points) and today we are celebrating victory. I could probably come up with about 20 or 30 more points but whats the point. Our players let everyone down yesterday. The leadership of Cotchin and Deledio was terrible as well. Only Jack Riewoldt, Alex Rance and Anthony Miles performed like big game players McIntosh was ok. The rest were rubbish.

Vickery could have passed over the top for a sure goal. We kept them in it instead of doing the right things. Penalty a loss & end of season. But your post is spot on.

That's right monky. Everyone just wants to blame the coach and sure he isn't blameless but bloody hell our players do some terrible things at clutch moments. just shocking decisions which cost us.

Don't think he wanted the shot

Players have to be held accountable for their performance. Agree not entirely coach's fault. Jack played a very good game yet it is interesting it is he who has to say to the football world we are sorry. I don't blame Vickery for the miss because at least he was having a go. There were just too many passengers. The errors we committed killed us and the worst one of them was Chaplin's.

Chaplins mistake absolutely killed us IMHO. The symbolism of that mistake just shattered any chance we had IMHO. Just terrible.

The Chaplin screw up was an absolute howler ,and its symbolism probably resonated throughout the whole team..What the hell was he thinking?..A big slow player was going to try and get around the nimble Nahas..just amazing

Look hard enough for the mistakes players make and you'll be sure to find them
