Title: If you were TW or GM how would you use our 2nd pick

For our 2nd pick, i'd draft Beau Muston because he could be the quick skilful midfielder Plough wants. And i've heard that Miller likes the kids attitude plus is from Victoria. Spangher, Lucy and Bower sound more tempting in our situation because they are all quality tall defenders (which we kinda do need), Lucy and Bower made All-Australian U18 selection this year as Full Back and Centre Half Back.

Muston or Rieschbieth would be ok, although atm i favor Rieschbeith because Muston did his knee

Miller mentioned being impressed with Beau Muston's attitude on SEN last week when he was up in Canberra. But weighing only 71kg and after doing a knee it would be very risky. Must admit Muston's form prior to doing his knee looked awesome (25 avg disp per game and 13 goals from just 7 games) but 7 games is not long enough to get a real idea. Travis Varcoe is another one who was tipped to go top 10 (tambling type) but he separated some bone and severely damaged ligaments in his foot - photo (http://images.newsphotos.com.au/images2/Lores/18895415.jpg)

Given the draft is so even especially in the second round I hope we just go with best available at our turn and no short skinny types.

I see Varcoe getting drafted by either Port or the Crows towards the end of the draft at worst.

Best case scenario for him he'll be gone by the end of the first round.

these threads a re ok for a discussion but i find them pointless bec there are 15 other clubs who will pick players so u just dont know who is available.

imho, we should use pick 8 and possibly pick 24 only. we have plaenty of youth and as its stated next yrs crop is better, we should use this trade period to trade guys like tivm chaff, hall etc, guys who really dont cut the mustard for better 22-27 yo players who can add to our group not hinder it.

tw and miller have said many times that we have a big core of youth but not experience.
we really dont need this trade to pick up more young talent , thats what next yr can be used 4.

thus we should concentrate on trading 4 better players , without getting rid of any kids just hacks
