St Kilda : Fergus Watts

-
Paul Chambers (Geelong) to Sydney for Pick 35 therefore:
Sydney Trade: Paul Chambers
Geelong Trade: Pick 35 in National Draft
Don't where that leaves Spida Everett :help ;D
-
Richard Cole to the Bombers for Pick 23 - so much for wanting a first round pick for him ;D Blind Freddie could have to ya that wasn't going to happen :lol
Essendon Trade: Ricahrd COle
Collingwood Trade: Pick 23
-

:rollin
The Pies drafted Cole with a first round pick (11) and put 4 years effort in to him then let him go for a second round pick. Brilliant recruiting there from the Pies :lol.

Thursday trades:
Sydney: gain - Ted Richard and pick 55
Essendon: gain - picks 19 and 51
Kangaroos: gain - Daniel McConnell and pick 18
West Coast: gain - picks 13 and 29
-
Sydney: gain - Ted Richard and pick 55
Essendon: gain - picks 19 and 51
Sheeds is one smart cookie. Do a supposedly pointless late pick swap in a deal yet by doing so he picks up #51 which turns out is the last third round selection. So he may now be able to pick up Jay Neagle under the F/S rule using this late third round pick rather than their original one (#39).
-
I think the rule is you have to use the original 3rd round pick!

Can someone, anyone explain to me what North are actually doing and how they can afford to do what they are doing even though they appear to not know what they are doing ? :help :o
They are still after Hay but have traded away their pick 13 that they at a minimum needed to get Hay :-\ I know they intend to pay more in TPP in 2006 but really how can they afford it? Oh yeah AFL handouts - sill me :rollin :help

That's what I would like to know. I heard earlier this year that the Roos were already paying 97% or thereabouts of the cap already. They'll be up with the most expensive lists if they get Hay. The CBF is meant to allow poorer to compete not gain a easy advantage over clubs who spend their own money.
As for what the Roos are doing WP, you're guess is as good as mine. Seems Laidley just picks names out of hat as they have been mentioned in nearly every trade this week ???. Laidley = Spud #2 ;).

Completed this morning:
Patrick Bowden to Ricmond
Pick 56 to WB
-
Jason Saddington to Carlton
Pick 52 to Swans
-
Jonathan Hay and picks 28, 46 to Roos
Picks 14, 18 to Hawthorn
Daniel Motlop, Nathan Lonie and picks 44, 60 to Port Adelaide
Byron Pickett and picks 54, 62 to Melbourne
Rawlings and 43 to Roos
46 to Dogs
Mark Powell to Roos
61 to Syd
-
So I come back to my question from yesterday....
How the hell is North paying for all of these quality recruits ;D
Hay, Rawlings, Powell (who the hell is he :help), McConnell
Hay & Rawlings wouldn't of come cheap - chuck in Grant's new deal and you gotta wonder :help :-\
Coupled with the fact they've recruited alot of over rated, under achieving players
What were they think?
Actually were they thinking at all :rollin
-
Kangaroos for wooden spoon in 3-5 years, and not too soon after this happens the club will be forced to merge, relocate or fold!

They are deluded and think they are close to a flag. Sheesh if that hiding from Port in the finals didn't tell them they are miles away nothing will. Laidley's Roos chasing mediocrity reminds me so much of us under Geischen and Frawley it's not funny. I agree with Razor - Roos are wooden spoon material in 3-5 years time from now.
I'd reckon the doggies are throwing in some dollars for Rawlings like they are for Bowden. Still now the Roos have Hay they must be close to the maximum yet they continue to get money from the CBF ::).
