So what and who should we be looking at with our three picks? For me - Ruck, key defender , mid...and the players we should look at IMO are:
Rucks
Darcy Cameron
Ash Close
Gach Nyuon
Jarrad Redden
Defenders
Glass-McCasker
Jake Wilson
Mids
Kieran Harper
Shane Nelson
Ozgur Uysal
Zac O'Brien (mid/fwd)
Jacob Ballard
Brayden Hackett
Others
Jed Adcock
Spencer White
Ahmed Saad
Arryn Sipposs
Hisham Kerbatieh
Josh Porter
Who else?
-
Harper would be a decent pick up for a rookie just needs a decent run with the injuries.
Reddan, I thought he was cooked, whats the deal with him?
Im not a fan of taking rucks out of the draft at a young age but Gach Nyuon would be worth the punt.
Probably take him a few years to get the bulk on his frame but he has a good leap.
-
Anyone for Glass-McCasker?

Sam Murray from up my way would be a handy pick. Young kid who by passed the under 18 comp and came third in the ovens and Murray league count. Big accolade for a kid in a very strong comp.

These are the videos of RFC scout Luke Williams.

A few names are still available from his list ...
Chris Jones (Box Hill Hawks #49)
Porter r9-12
Bolton 2015 r9-12, #1
Alex Boyse

Kerbatieh could be a handy rookie.

Ten to watch in the NAB AFL Rookie Draft
Callum Twomey
AFL.com.au
26 November 2015
ATTENTION quickly turns to Friday's NAB AFL Rookie Draft after the national intake on Tuesday, with some talent left on the board and up for grabs.
Here are 10 possible rookies who might be on the radar of clubs in two days as they finalise their lists ahead of the 2016 season.
Gach Nyuon
Ruckman
201cm/81kg
19/3/97
Dandenong Stingrays
Nyuon was the All Australian ruckman this year after a strong national carnival for Vic Country, but was probably always more of a rookie chance than a shot in the national draft. That's because clubs don't tend to take many rucks in the national draft and Nyuon has some way to go developing a body that's ready for AFL. But his improvement across the year should appeal to a club who wants to give him a go.
Reuben William
Half-back
182cm/74kg
7/10/97
Zillmere/Brisbane Lions academy
It was a surprise no club took William at the national draft after his impressive season for the Lions academy. The attacking and combative half-back loves to tackle, uses the ball pretty well and plays with good spirit. From Sudan, William's speed and disposal stacks up well. As a member of the Brisbane Lions academy, the club is in a good position to take him on and add another local talent.
Nick O'Kearney
Midfielder
181cm/72kg
29/10/97
Calder Cannons
O'Kearney is a ball magnet who can use the ball well on both feet, pick up disposals at will and find targets. He was probably overlooked because of his size as a midfielder and he could probably hurt teams more with his disposal, but he's consistent and professional and does everything to keep improving his game.
Will Snelling
Midfielder
176cm/75kg
6/8/97
West Adelaide
The small midfielder will be a rookie shot due to his ability to rack up possessions. He was a prolific member of South Australia's under-18 team at the national carnival and also captained the state during the under-18 championships. Snelling already has senior experience, too, having played 13 games at West Adelaide this season in the SANFL.
Sam Murray
Midfielder
187cm/80kg
2/9/97
Wodonga Raiders
Murray had a number of clubs interested in him ahead of the draft after a strong season for the Wodonga Raiders in country Victoria. Clubs have spent more time on him in recent weeks as they assess him against other prospects, but he has speed, takes the game on an has a knack for kicking a goal. He is a draft smokey but he's definitely in the mix as a rookie.
Murray's strong form in country footy has several clubs interested. Picture: The Border Mail
Darcy MacPherson
Midfielder
174cm/72kg
29/10/97
Northern Knights
The Bulldogs declined the chance to nominate MacPherson as a father-son pick in the national and rookie drafts, but he should get a chance on Friday. Although short, MacPherson fights hard for the ball, averaged 21 disposals in eight games with the Northern Knights and can push forward to hit the scoreboard. He also performed well at VFL level for Footscray later in the season.
Thomas Glen
Half-back
187cm/72kg
7/5/97
Dandenong Stingrays
It was a bit of a surprise that Glen didn't get a chance later in the piece, because he showed some nice form across the season at half-back. He can play on a range of forwards and offers good run, speed and drive out of the backline. He was consistent across the season with the Stingrays and Vic Country and had some interest before the national draft.
Jesse Glass-McCasker
Tall defender
196cm/95kg
3/1/97
Swan Districts
The West Australian tall defender will be a good chance to find an AFL home on Friday with clubs likely to be looking to add a key backman. Glass-McCasker is athletic, pretty quick and can shut down on opponents, and is reliable in one-on-one battles. At 196cm and 95kg he should be able to come in and play a role soon.
James Parsons
Midfielder
189cm/75kg
12/4/97
Eastern Ranges
Parsons' outside run and skill level might be enough to see him get a chance as a rookie despite an up and down season. The NAB AFL Academy graduate has speed and carries the ball, and can kick the ball long and with penetration. His physical makeup also makes him a player with promise, given he should be able to add some size if he gets into the system.
Lachlan Tiziani
Half-forward
188cm/80kg
13/3/97
Albury/GWS Academy
Tiziani tested exceptionally well at the NAB AFL Draft Combine, showing his strong leap and athleticism. That comes through in his game, too, with his overhead marking and bounce giving him a point of difference. The Giants will get first access to Tiziani, who is a member of the club's academy. All four of GWS' national draft recruits were members of its academy set up.

Surprised both Gach and Kerbatieh were not picked up in the draft proper. Would like to get Gach.
-
Glass-McCasker
Nyuon
Harper
Pick them up!

Of the 10 mentioned by Twomey, Nyuon spent a week or so at Punt Rd earlier this year, while Parsons was linked to us at a late pick by the media.

Wonder if the club still rates Harper - we did in his draft year.

Wonder if the club still rates Harper - we did in his draft year.
Our recruiters openly admit we keep all our notes and records of players they've looked at during a draft year but that we didn't draft, on the off chance sometime in the future those players become available again via a trade, FA or a future draft.

Ten players to look out for in the rookie draft
Emma Quayle
The Age
27 November 2015
The 2015 draft season ends on Friday, with the rookie draft. Here are some players who might get their chance.
Reuben William (Zillmere)
William was in the mix for a couple of clubs, but in the end no-one bid for the Lions Academy graduate and the club used its final selection on key back Sam Skinner. That means the Lions are free to pre-list the Sudan-born half-back – an enthusiastic, high-energy player who plays at pace – as a rookie.
Gach Nyuon (Dandenong Stingrays)
Should probably have been drafted, but clubs have gone off recruiting developing ruckmen in the national draft. Only two were chosen on Tuesday night. At the start of the year Nyuon looked a long way off it, having missed the second half of 2014 with a knee injury. He only started playing the game in 2012 and even after a full season this year has played fewer than 45 games in his life. He's made huge improvement this year, and knuckled down off the field, although some would like to see him become even more professional. High potential, hugely athletic and ideal rookie material.
Nick O'Kearney (Calder Cannons)
O'Kearney is a big ball-winner who does everything right off the field. Given that, some clubs probably wondered about how big his scope for improvement is compared to some others they had access to in the latter part of the draft. Their questions were about his size – he's a small midfielder – and whether he did enough with his disposals to hurt teams. But whoever takes him on will get someone absolutely committed to making it and determined to find a way.
Tom Glen (Dandenong Stingrays)
Glen put together some good form in the last part of the season. Clubs had some questions about his attack on the ball, hence others who played the same role were preferred in the end. He's skinny, but at 187cm he's a good size to play off the half-back line on various-sized opponents. He has some speed, running a 2.90 second sprint at the combine and doing well in the repeat speed test. He can kick the ball beautifully but might need a bit more time.
James Parsons (Eastern Ranges)
Parsons is a 189cm running player and his athletic attributes could get him a chance. He was one of Vic Metro's best players at under-16 level but this year had games where he struggled to get involved and stay there. He has some speed to go with his size and while inconsistent can be damaging with the ball when he gets it and can run.
Will Snelling (West Adelaide)
Like O'Kearney, Snelling was one of the most reliable ball-winners throughout the national championships, averaging four clearances from his 21 possessions. He's small (173cm) but has some pace (2.95 seconds over 20 metres) and ran one of the better time trials at the combine. He captained SA at the nationals and his coach loved his passion for the contest and will to keep working. He's played senior level football already in Adelaide, and gets the most out of himself.
Callum Moore (Calder Cannons)
Moore played for the Cannons as a 19-year-old this year and did some exciting things. He's a 193cm forward who ran a 2.91-second sprint at the combine and did pretty well in the repeat speed test before struggling in the time trial. He can be a little unpredictable and inconsistent and can kick the ball awkwardly, but he plays with a bit of bounce and can do some eye-catching things.
Davin Ferreira (Norwood)
A club looking for a small forward might take a look at the 174cm Ferreira, who played some senior level footy this year. From the Northern Territory, he has been boarding at school in Adelaide. His athletic capacity to play his position at the next level is what clubs would have queried; he didn't test super quick and his endurance needs some work, though he has shown an ability to get to where the ball is and kick clever goals.
Jesse Glass-McCasker (Swan Districts)
Clubs are looking here, there and everywhere for tall defenders. A number went for mature-age players in the national draft, preferring players a bit more ready to slot straight in if needed. Glass-McCasker played some good footy for the WA under-18s in, stuck to his role and while he's not super fast off the mark is quick and agile enough to be given a chance.
Stephen Tahana (North Adelaide)
Tahana probably didn't come on as some would have hoped at the start of the season, or become as damaging a player as he threatened to become this time last year. He has some work to do on his endurance, and on putting his excellent speed to more use. But he has shown an ability to lock in on an opponent, stick to his task and defend. Those attributes speak to a reliability and work rate.

Clubs can have senior lists of 38 to 40 players on their senior list, and "nominate" rookies at the start of the season to fill the open spots.
A number of clubs – Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Fremantle, Geelong, Gold Coast, Hawthorn, North Melbourne, Port Adelaide, Richmond, Sydney and West Coast – will go in with shorter lists.
