Heppel for sure as well as the other two. Surely they will realise that the rebuild after all of this will not lead to a Premiership while they are there.

Outside not being able to play until 2017

All are contracted and they won't leave

So this rather pointless isn't it

unfortunately for us, our VFL side at least, every chance Jacob Ballard will get picked as a top up for the drug cheats.

Are the contracts still valid

Somehow I think not

There may be clauses such as providin a safe work environment, not get done cheating and the like

They are still valid seeing these players are going to be paid by the EFC in 2016

Also, the player would want to leave, they wont so ....  :whistle

Are you sure? The players perspective could be very different after this result. It would be odd to sue your current employer..

I reckon they may WP. Can't imagine any player sticking around if they sue the club. And we will know if legal proceedings occur well before the trade period kicks in late in the year

If the Dons players have been found guilty, why should they have their contracts paid out...Isnt the contract null and void now?
And from a moral point of view I don't think they should be paid out

https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/afl/a/30566332/banned-bombers-can-walk-out-on-club/

All 12 suspended players still at Essendon will have the power to declare themselves de-listed free agents and walk out on the embattled club for a new AFL home after receiving year-long doping bans.

In a revelation that threatens to further gut a shattered Essendon list, the AFL Players’ Association confirmed at a closed meeting yesterday that each of the dozen Bombers suspended by the Court of Arbitration for Sport was free to quit Essendon of their own will.

The West Australian understands the affected players will be able to automatically de-list themselves under league conditions relating to a breach of contract.

Any player who chooses to take the option of voiding their existing contract with Essendon could sign with another AFL club for 2017 under the same rules that apply to de-listed free agents.

Essendon are believed to have no recourse to prevent a player walkout, with the CAS guilty verdict and the club’s admission of fault over their controversial supplements program in 2012 qualifying as a breach of contract.

Richardson's equally culpable...him & Hartley are like the teams on Bargain Hunt that ignore the expert's advice and always lose...
