As the title says - which rookie(s) will get promoted prior to round 1?

-
From what the club's been saying, it sound's like Choi will be the one, though I wouldn't be surprised if Castagna or Marcon got the nod.

-
Who knows, we all called Miles to be elevated the time Hampson (I think) was, or was it Thomas?

I would say Chol, but they could pick Soldo... :snidegrin

Hampson has always been on the primary list. Must've been Thomas.
 George is my pick.

I picked Castagna but Chol and Soldo are in with just the same chance. Good luck boys  :gotigers

-
I think Jayden Short is huge chance

But i wouldnt be surprised if they dont promote anyone for round 1
-
I like Soldo as a prospect, but he is a long way off senior footy. You can rule him out.

 RICHMOND - YES

WHY? The Tigers can apply to the AFL to promote a rookie as the club has space under the salary cap.

WHO’S IN LINE: Jason Castagna, Mabior Chol, Adam Marcon, Callum Moore, Jayden Short, Ivan Soldo.

FRONT-RUNNER: Mabior Chol has wowed Tigers and neutral fans alike with some of his performances in the NAB Challenge but is still a raw project player. Instead, former Williamstown midfielder Adam Marcon is set to follow in Kane Lambert’s footsteps and earn a place on the senior list if the Tigers decide to make a move.

Rookie watch: Who will be promoted at your club?

With a primary list of 39, the Tigers are able to upgrade one rookie before the start of the season and they have opted for midfielder Jason Castagna. The second-year Tiger is the rookie most capable of having an impact at senior level right now - either at half-back or through the midfield - and the decision to upgrade him was likely made following a setback to Reece Conca (hamstring) and with Chris Yarran (calf) underdone.

Sudanese recruit Mabior Chol had been the frontrunner, playing all three NAB Challenge games and trialling as a tall forward and back-up ruckman in case injuries to key position players hit.

Mature-age rookie Adam Marcon played in the opening pre-season game and won 13 possessions, with category B rookie Ivan Soldo also featuring in that game.

just on this topic, with Conca being out for around 10 weeks, anyone reckon we will put him on the LTI list (min 8 weeks) & promote somebody else?

 The club heard you, JR.

The Club can promote another rookie-listed player, given Conca’s long-term injury, but it is yet to decide who that will be.

I hope they elevate Short. From all reports he has been a standout at training.
