If it were a matter of the team selectors picking one or the other, who would you prefer?
Elevate Chol or stay the course with Chaplin as a forward?
-
I'll get in early and counter Stalin.
Of course it's Chol! ;D
-
Chaplin is still ahead of Chol.
That doesn't make me a Chaplin lover nor a Chol hater but Chol is not ready. He provided a bit of excitement and promise but let's just remember how green he is and that it was only NAB Challenge. Let's see him do it in the ressies consistently and then give him a go. I'd rather see other blokes push Chaplin out of a game first, like Elton.

Chol has performed better thsn Chaplin in the forward line in the preseason. Chaplin hasn't done anything to justify his selection. If he performs against Port then I will rethink the question. As of now purely looking at who has given more spark in the forward line, it is Chol.
-
This is a rhetorical question right?
-
Chaplin wont be in the forward line in the season proper

Yep I agree, Chol.
He will takes us a hell of lot further than chaplin ever could.

I agree with you here except for....
I think Astbury is earmarked to take Chaplin's role in the back this year not Elton.
Would love to see Choi get an opportunity but I doubt that it will happen in round 1

And I think this is spot on as well,
He he plays forward it will be for 10 minutes then they will send him back
-
Astbury is like 26 now
How many more years of list blocking chappy
-
Where's McBean in this scenario ?..Surely he's next cab off the rank ?
I don't like the idea of Chappy in the forward line at all ......unless we are five goals down in a final and he's told to go out there and emulate Scotty Turner.
-
We have a production line of young KpF for the first time in decades...
And Dimma puts Chappy there. Well f me
-
Even Chris Judd played one game of WAFL before debuting in round 2.
-
Call me a RCGG dude, but I firmly believe that Chol is already a superior player to Judd in his prime.
In fact, if the AFL admin' wasn't so damn racist, Chol would already have three Chazwicks.
Chol! Chol! Chol! Chol! :gotigers

that was a mistake in hindsite wasnt it

I remember reading about a comment made by the coach of East Perth after Judds first game - take a hard long look boys because we are never going to see him in Royal colours again.
I hope Chol does play ....because he's so exciting and I'm so indifferent to Griff.
But just to play devils advocate - is there anything wrong with making a newbie wait a game or two - especially if you can afford that luxury ?

That production line is who exactly. No Riewoldt no tall forwards of any note.Simply put lose Riewoldt and kiss the eight good bye possibly even top 12. That is how poor it gets after Jack.
The real trouble is we have never really started a kpf production line.

People used to think the same thing about Richo. Although I tend to agree with you, we won't know until it happens. Vickery or Griff could step up in Jack's absence like Shultz and Hughes did once in Richo's absence :lol

Mckenzie - Pick 77 19yo with depression.
Astbury - injury prone dinosaur who is actually a kpd who has done little so far.
Chol - skinny rookie with promise nothing more atm. Havent they said they took him to be a ruckman lol.
Griffiths - dud.
Elton - so far totally struggled who is another kpd.
Vickery - soft as butter glass half full.
McBean - to date dud cant get a game in front of Chaplin lol and the above list.
Thats great just great,

i said there was a lot of them

When your first language is mainly grunts, chirps and the occasional whistle, they translate to the same thing
-
After watching Rance battle tonight
Reckon they need to play Chaplin down back to play on the bigger forwards
Rance can't do it alone
-
Should be chucking everything at Hurley and Tomlinson for next year.
-
lol @ Hampson
