I did some investigating..................

For what it is worth some the sponsorship deals hummel have are: Aston Villa in the EPL, the South African Cricket team as well a lot of other soccer teams in the German league

Also on 3AW yesterday they had the PR bloke from hummel (and yes it is all in lower case) and he confirmed that the Tigers will be sponsored by hummel in 2006. It will not only be the off-field stuff (polos, jackets etc) but also all on-field gear. This means all jumpers, socks and shorts will have the hummel name on them.

He also explained that Concept Sports (our apparel sponsor of the last 2 seasons) are the regisstered Australian hummel licence and distribution agent.

Finally, on page 58 of today's Sunday Herald Sun (13/11/05) in the Rasanne Michie column she writes:

"What does Princess Mary, the entire Richmond football team and rapper Eminem have in common? The wear Hummel gear. The funky Danish sportswear brand was launched this week by Gary March, who doubles as a Richmond Director."

There is very small pic of Troy Simmonds and Mark Coughlan in the new team polo.(Sorry Julz it aint in colour ;) ;D)

I wonder if we'll have their "arrows" trademark down the side of the shorts and possibly guensey as well?

I doubt it very much regarding the jumper - perhaps in the Preseason Comp but I reckon the arrows maybe a possibility on the shorts.

Hopefully the RFC website will have something up in the next few days  :-\ :help ;D

Actually just on the arrows - while watching the one dayers from South Africa last weekend on Foxtel - I noticed the new South African uniform - the shirts looked very impressive - if you subsituted the green for black - you'd have a really good looking RFC polo shirt. :thumbsup The arrows on those shirts (IIRC) were on the arms as well as panels on the sides

Yeah that's the one - I got the bit about the arrows on the arms wrong  :P but the rest I was OK with. Seriously, make the green black and he presto Tiger Polo.  :thumbsup

Perhaps we could look at the numbers on the back of the Sth African shirts for our jumpers while we are at it  :rollin :rollin

I was thinking the same thing WP when I posted the pic :thumbsup.

Message to the RFC - the larger the size and thinkness of the numbers on the back of the guernsey the easier they are to read.
Title: hummel gear out in 2 weeks

For those interested, the catalogue is with the printers and the new hummel gear should be on out within a week or two.

Well it looks like my idea of having a polo like the South African One dayer shirt is a no-go :-[

there was a pic in the HUN over the weekend (I'm still trying to find it  ;D) of David Rodan at the VSK fundraisers and the team polo was mainly black, grey collar and grey  :o hummel arrows down the side with 2 tiny bits of yellow around the arms and of course with the appropriate Tiger  and sponsors logos.

Why so much grey and where's the yellow - ya know "yellow and black"  :help

There's now a few pics of hummel stuff mixed in with last year's stock on the RFC online store:

That's quite funny that the shop link still has NIKE in its name :help ;D seeing we haven't been with them for 3 years now

Just on the Polo shirt - would have liked to have seen the hummel arrows in yellow, ditto with the Collar - not enough Yellow for mine. IIRC the words of the song say something about "Yellow & Black" :help :-\ ;D ;)

I saw a sample of the new Polo at a function earlier this week and apart from the grey I must say the quality of the actual shirt itself is far greater than we have had the last couple of seasons :thumbsup

Jumper now looks professional. Isnt it much better to have the makers name rather than a tiger head. I may get a new jumper now.

The training singlets similarly only have a yellow strip down the side. The rest is all white with a large-sized Motorola logo on the front.

Well we've finally made it to the international stage as we now rate a mention on the hummel web-site :thumbsup  ;D

Pity...there are rumours around today that Reebok wants to be involved with us from next year lol. Everyone wants to be involved with the yellow and black army. Can you really blame though lol  ;D

Has anyone here bought a club tracksuit yet? If so, Is the sizing true Australian sizing or Asian sweatshop sizing? I'm normally an XL but in some less reputable clothing manufacturers I can blow out to as much as a 3XL.
They are pretty good value atm @ $140 from the Den.
