A pic of Dimmers "line in the sand" games during his tenure as coach of the RFC.
-
Seriously after the rubbish we have dished up in the opening 3 weeks - does anyone think we can trouble WCE ...in Perth !!!!
Any loss under 5 goals would be a good result.
Line in the sand game is against an improving Melbourne the following week.
-
In this rebuild year not fussed about the result even if we go down by 15 goals we will be blooding the kids more
-
At least this thread is about next week.
As an apologist it hurts me to say that we will get thrashed.

Do the four steps back, do the two steps forward,
We do the hokey pokey & we turn around, that's what it's all about :clapping

West Coast champion Matt Priddis is racing time in a bold bid to be fit to play against Richmond on Friday night in Perth.
The 2014 Brownlow medallist is nursing a slight thigh strain and nagging hip soreness out of a bruising derby victory over arch enemy Fremantle last Saturday, when the star playmaker was best-afield and collected a second Ross Glendinning Medal.
Priddis, top key defender Eric Mackenzie, another star on-baller Luke Shuey as well as utility Brad Sheppard and hard-nut small forward Jamie Cripps are all racing the clock to recover and take on the embattled Tigers.
Priddis' injury is understood to be minor and the big possession-winning follower is more likely to play, although a week's rest would allow him time to fully recover.

:lol
Teams are already resting players against us.

Gold thread - every post a :thumbsup
I'm tipping he'll be saying we were "unrichmond like" after getting pansted
-
After pointing out the stats we led in..
-
were screwed then
-
But we had more clearances and uncontested possession.......
-
and we kicked more behinds.

Much is being said about our recent good record at Subiaco.
But this really is a different Richmond team .

West Coast Eagles Vs Richmond preview
AFL.com.au
15 April 2016
The Tigers face a huge test on the back of a rough start to the season. They have a superb recent record in Perth against both the Eagles and the Dockers but this is a different Eagles side to the 2014 version they beat at Domain Stadium. The biggest task for the Tigers is how to stem the West Coast's scoring power. The Eagles had 32 shots from 63 inside 50 entries last week against the Dockers, while the Tigers gave up 33 shots from 57 entries in their loss to the Crows. Nic Naitanui looms large in the ruck and the Eagles' midfield found some form last week. Trent Cotchin and Dustin Martin will have to be at their absolute best this week.
WHERE AND WHEN: Domain Stadium, Friday, April 9, 5.40pm AWST
LAST FIVE TIMES
R12, 2015, West Coast Eagles 13.12 (90) d Richmond 10.10 (70) at the MCG
R18, 2014, Richmond 8.11 (59) d West Coast Eagles 6.6 (42) at Domain Stadium
R10, 2013, Richmond 16.7 (103) d West Coast Eagles 8.14 (62) at Domain Stadium
R5, 2012, West Coast Eagles 16.11 (107) d Richmond 14.13 (97) at Etihad Stadium
R20, 2011, West Coast Eagles 22.15 (147) d Richmond 14.6 (90) at Domain Stadium
THE SIX POINTS
1. It was a battle of the midfields when the Eagles defeated the Tigers in 2015. Andrew Gaff, Matt Priddis and Chris Masten all had 25-plus disposals while Dustin Martin and Brandon Ellis each had 31 touches for Richmond.
2. These two teams are in the top three for marks inside 50 in the first three weeks. West Coast is ranked second in the competition with 15.6 per game and Richmond is third with 15.3.
3. The Eagles are the number one ranked ruck division so far in 2016. They average 56 hit-outs per game and Nic Naitanui is ranked fourth among individual ruckman. The Tigers are ranked 11th for hit-outs in the absence of Ivan Maric.
4. West Coast's record against Richmond at Domain Stadium is strong winning 13 games to four. But the Tigers have improved that record recently winning the last two.
5. Richmond has struggled to take the ball inside 50 in 2016. The Tigers are ranked 14th in the AFL with an average of only 49.6 entries, while West Coast is ranked seventh at 53.6 entries per game.
6. Just seven spots separate key forwards Josh Kennedy (44th) and Jack Riewoldt (51th) in the Schick AFL Player Ratings. But Jack Darling (98th) is ranked a long way clear of Richmond's next best key forward Ty Vickery (286th).
IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR … Jack Riewoldt
He's played well so far this season without a bag of goals. He kicked a bag oft 10 against West Coast at the MCG in 2010. The Tigers would love a big performance from him this week.
PREDICTION: West Coast by 30 points

3. The Eagles are the number one ranked ruck division so far in 2016. They average 56 hit-outs per game and Nic Naitanui is ranked fourth among individual ruckman. The Tigers are ranked 11th for hit-outs in the absence of Ivan Maric.
We'd be ranked last in hit-outs if Maric had been playing
-
And would be 2-1
-
WEST Coast will make a last-minute decision on four of its stars ahead of tonight’s clash against Richmond in Perth.
Coach Adam Simpson is taking a cautious approach with Brownlow medallist Matt Priddis (thigh strain/hip soreness), small forward Jamie Cripps (thigh) and defenders Eric Mackenzie (bruised toe) and Jeremy McGovern (AC joint).

-
Priddis is not playing tonight for the Eagles.
-
We will still lose.
-
5-1 I'm on go you tigers
-
You need to run, spread and move the ball on quickly to take advantage of Subi and then defend well and get numbers back going the other way. Both areas we've been poor at so far this year :-\.
Eagles wearing their yellow peril guernsey :chuck.
-
Vickery, Moore, Lennon and Rioli starting on the bench.
-
Hampson grigg hunt Chappy starting on the ground :cheers
-
Hampson :facepalm.
-
LOL.
Actually Lloyd did well to bring it ground. Chaplin airy is cleaned up by Lambert on the line :gotigers.
Rich 6

-
Who was asleep on Darling there?
-
Swab Hunt lol
-
We just cannot defend when that ball is turned over
-
BS that was not 15 ::). Ump goal ::).
-
Possy football kills us. Turnovers
-
In all fairness that was a 15 meter kick.
-
If you bounced the ball properly then Hampson would've had a chance in the ruck you idiot ::)
-
BS that was not 15 ::). Ump goal ::).
Carful
The maggots are infallible according to a few gurus on ere
-
And it begins because we can't defend and we can't move the ball quick enough. They should be 4 goals up already.
-
Mcintosh :shh
-
Why do we continually handball down the boundary until we get tackled ? Noticed it a lot last week. Hand balling to players under immense pressure too. Must be instructions by the coach and it's shocking.
-
Starting to get ugly already :help
-
Chaplin just poo his pants and squibbed a contest. Bloody pansy. :banghead
-
Oh well at least we don't have to run to hard. The game is only being played on one half of the ground.
-
Hampson :facepalm.
And they wonder why the Pies got that winning goal two weeks back.
-
Bunch of girls this lot.
I feel for Rance & Martin.
-
That's holding the ball. You just can't drop it in the tackle ::)
-
Turnovers
-
Jumper grabbed but no free ::)
-
Is Lennon on Darling?
Really?
-
Lube up
-
We are an absolute rabble. We appear to play with no plan, poo our pants every time we get it, never win one on ones. An absolute rabble. Get ready for a lot more of it too unless something changes.
-
All over. Oh well the nuffers have what they want. Every player in the team is playing at half back. :clapping
-
Jumper grabbed but no free ::)
U askin for trouble
-
:pillowfight
-
13 minutes since we have been inside 50... Says it all.
-
Finally got a free and Lambert finds Jack 50m out. Puts it to the top of the square and not one Tiger went for it :facepalm.
-
Stop blaming the stuffing umpires. Do you really think they are the difference!!!!
-
Go the knuckle again Vickery. Natanui is asking for it early.
-
Our half-forwards are useless. No one running hard to create an option for our defenders to kick long to.
-
My butt hurts
-
Ok l have seen enough. They playing sideways nowhere footy :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead
-
High free kick??
-
RRC. Richmond Rabble Club
-
How was that high?
-
High free kick??
I have no idea why that was a free lol
-
Hopefully this is a coach killer result
-
Start the new threads guys
-
What a joke. Pathetic joke of a club. Not even a club. Just a joke.
-
Most unprofessional I've seen us since dimma took over. No direction
-
100 plus coming our way.
-
Our 'tackles' always allow the opposition to get their hands free and give it off to a guy in space...
-
Why can't we shepherd? What's so hard having the players do this after handballing to a team mate?
I don't understand why is so hard? It's been missing from this team for decades.
-
100 point loss coming up
Damn odds would have been juicy
-
We are mentally weak/week
-
Hope rance is ok ...
Start the new threads guys
Na , the sack Dimma thread is a corker
-
Eagles spewing they didn't rest half their team
-
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
-
LOL. We're playing terribly but the umps are screwing us as well. That ball was jolted loose by Shuey and Menadue gets pinged for illegal disposal.
-
I know, let's go start the positives thread for the apologists.....
-
Umpires don't need to give them any more freebies
-
How was that a free kick?
-
Rioli :gotigers.
Well played Jack.

Jack
Very very smart dude
-
Well done young Daniel
That's all
-
No skill, no confidence, no system, no plan, no idea. :banghead
-
pee weak Edwards, bloody chase!!!!
-
Well done young Daniel
That's all
How did he get the ball?
-
Of course it's a Eagles free kick. What's new!
-
Edwards really. Well you can't blame the umpires for that poo hand ball
-
Are the players playing for each other
-
Gotta laugh
500 hundred half steps back tonight thus far
-
4th time the umps have called us for not 15 ::). Real estate dimensions different in WA?
-
Just missing target after target :lol
-
Why did we extend Dimmas contract
-
Gotta laugh
500 hundred half steps back tonight thus far
:rollin :thumbsup
-
Pathetic!
Quarter time
Richmond 2.0-12
West Coast 7.2-44
Goals: Lambert, Rioli
-
I can't wait for Hardwicks comments after this game. :rollin
-
Have to say, Andrew Moore flapping his arms telling Houli to do something is funny aside from looking terrible
Suggest young Andrew actually do some chasing himself, struth he looks slow
-
Why did we extend Dimmas contract
To upset people
Worked a charm I would say
-
We are a laughing stock
-
Great dominating stuff by Hunt. Dumma getting dummer. Edwards has zero skills. Cotchin has no idea. This club is a joke. Let's get dimwit for another 140 games.
-
Who else thinks the umpiring is shocking tonight. I thought it was 15m for a kick to be considered a mark but now it seems its 50m for richmond players. So many missed frees, so many wrong frees.
-
We can blood young players and all that and I'm happy to be doing it. But why do we have to play such an outdated ugly style of footy ? That's a coaching problem... Not list. I'd be okay with losing if we played a good style I knew could lead us somewhere when the players got experience and we got more talent in. But this is just horrid. Ugly. Even Carlton and Essendon are more exciting n
-
Cannot believe how poor the umpiring has been tonight.
Cannot believe how poor our running has been
Our tackling
Our dare to move the ball.
This is a game we may as well roll the dice and lose by 100 because if we don't it will be an ugly crab like style of football where we will still lose by 10 goals.
-
We are soft as ship, no one want the ball and when it does end up in a players hand they can't get rid of it quick enough!!
-
Stop blaming the stuffing umpires. Do you really think they are the difference!!!!
The umpiring is pee poor both ways, pee poor.
-
4th time the umps have called us for not 15 ::). Real estate dimensions different in WA?
as it should be. It is because most tiger players can't add up to 15 and the coach can't add up at all.
-
Who else thinks the umpiring is shocking tonight. I thought it was 15m for a kick to be considered a mark but now it seems its 50m for richmond players. So many missed frees, so many wrong frees.
It's not great but the umpires aren't hand balling to blokes under pressure
-
Someone needs to tell the umps that there is no need to play favourites tonight.
-
4th time the umps have called us for not 15 ::). Real estate dimensions different in WA?
They were nowhere near 15 Umpires are correct
-
We can't get a centre clearance. And another turnover.
-
The constant kicking sideways is hurting us sooo much, its sooo predictable and we do it badly.
-
Flat-footed, reactive, not running for each other, poor decision making, poor skills, etc .... every mistake in the book.
-
LOL Hunt, you are useless.
-
Sorry, not 50. In fact, reverse it for staging.
-
Cotchin having a shocker.
-
Cotchin may in trouble for that brain fade
Shocking
-
Wallace started this corralling crap years ago, our guys are still doing it.
-
We can't get a centre clearance. And another turnover.
We didn't need another ruckman according the Blair Hartley the great list manager :doh.
-
Lecras should deadset embarrassed prick
-
See B Ellis try to mark the ball. That is under 12 stuff flopping arms in the air not knowing where the ball is :rollin
-
Ellis you gutless dog. Heard the footsteps you gutless prick.
-
100 point loss coming.
-
This is headed for Geelong esque 2007 proportions if the Eagles don't get bored
-
Cotch gets the free in the centre. Finds Rance at CHF who finds LLoyd in the pocket. Nice goal :clapping.
Rich 18

look even a amateur footballer can kick a hard goal.
-
Brandon that was woeful.

Terrific, just terrificTM
-
Brandon that was woeful.
Our club is laughable
-
Summer's Hunt was just sensational then. Dim f'in Wit Hard idiot wick
-
Cotchin may in trouble for that brain fade
Shocking
Barely touched him.
The staging was shocking.
-
Oh well only another half. Ellis is useless and I have been saying it for years. This might go to 120 point drubbing at this rate.
-
How much l would like Jackson & Tuck playing again
-
LOL Hampson. Thanks Blair :lol
-
How much l would like Jackson & Tuck playing again
Are our turnovers not bad enough u saddist
-
Hampson injured again like he was done against Collingwood before 1/2 time but we continue to play him. Something tells me RFC are trying to damage his playing career :lol
-
Why the hell doesn't that stupid bloody coach take Hampson off and put Vickery in the ruck. Stupid bloody coach.
-
How much l would like Jackson & Tuck playing again
Are our turnovers not bad enough u saddist
We lack body players who block & protect our mifielders. Tell me one player out there now putting their body on the line so to create run NO-ONE
-

If he waits long enough it may just work :lol

We should be 100 down already
-
31 inside 50's to 6!
I'm telling yas this has 150+ point drubbing written all over it if the Eagles decide to go on with it
-
When was the last time s team scored 200 points?
It could well be a possibility tonight!
-
What's the point. This club :help
-
Notice when we get tackled we can't hit a clean handball, but opposition teams seem to always get hands free and hit a team mate with the handball.
-
Enjoy your enforced holiday Lycett.
-
One positive, c.ellis is looking good in amongst this bloodbath
-
Point to Lennon. At least we got it forward with kicks for once tonight.
19 - 73
-
Ok Im outta here, talk to you guys next tomorrow about the new hole West Coast and the umps tore in our backsides. Have a nice evening all!
-
Sickening really
-
Some stupid football by Riewoldt there
-
Junk Time Jack. That was a spoiling punch l would drag any player for giving away free kicks like that :banghead
-
2nd lowest inside 50 count since 2000. That's just 7 times inside 50 in an hour.
-
Listen to those racist pricks over there
-
1 55 metre kick by Vickery & they start moving the ball so quick they run out of indians :rollin :rollin :rollin thats a great game plan :snidegrin
-
Need a mercy rule.
Half-time
Richmond 2.0 3.1-19
West Coast 7.2 10.13-73
Goals: Lambert, Rioli, Lloyd

Correct, there's been a couple of times tonight where he should have spoiled, he thinks the game is all about him.
-
Great to see Rioli up and about, front and centre to Jack.
Pretty sad really this, the club, the players the coaching. It's a real downer.
-
Apparently dimmer is trying to have the game called off.
-
Crucifixion? Good ... one Richmond jumper each, line on the left ... :scream

Correct, there's been a couple of times tonight where he should have spoiled, he thinks the game is all about him.
Don't agree, he has been triple teamed all night and they keep kicking the ball to him, that's because the coach hasn't changed the play. If the coach had a brain he would take the play away from Jack and try something else. But he is too predictable and the Eagkes are playing off that stupidity.
Well done Damien.
-
I can't wait for the press conference, going to be the best part of the night

That is what I am saying WAT, if there are 3 guys on you, then you need to spoil.

When you are getting a flogging like this you just need to man up. Grab a bloke and go one on one. You will see soon enough who is up for the fight.
This crap Dimma has them playing is sh/7.
Is he so stupid as to keep doing the same thing in the second half??
Umpiring is the worst I've seen though which is only adding to it.
God I hate Houli and Ellis.....and Hunt....and Chaplin....and Grigg....and Hampson. All weak as pee
-
l can see Dustin Martin walking out on this club when his contract is up. No way is a top player like him going to knock back a huge offer. Vickery will walk next year just watch along with a few others.
As for the coach. l would sack him & a few players tomorrow.
-
Look, the scoreboard is disappointing but one positive is the stats are close.
Aside from 30 inside 50's to 8 the rest of the board is pretty even :sleep

Jack has been so far up the ground doing nothing all his doing is playing half back stuff & giving away frees. When we do get the ball no-one is past the centre bounce so they hold it up & get run down by Eagles pushing back. My mates at the game say our coach is a idiot & causing our own distruction. Its time to sack Hardwick

Oh yes the stats are most important part of the game which shows how much we overuse the ball

Whats a good movie to watch when I get home.
Suggestions anyone? ??

Oh well we have a half to save some sort of credibility I suppose.

kick it long to the contest & kick a goal it works everytime. :lol

In the first half that would've been paid high to the Eagles. Now it's holding the ball and a free to Ty 35m out. Misses (falls short).

Now if in true umpiring fashion they should help us back into the game with some bad umpiring :snidegrin

They should've gone to the 3rd umpire on that, could be a crucial point

Cotch 1-2 but he sprays the kick.
Hampson off for the night.

Dusty turned the ball over there but he booted it 50 metres out of defence & then they turnover the ball. That's better than trying to handball it out & giving away goals.

What RFC want so he can go on the long term injury list :snidegrin In comes a young ruckman :lol
-
So we actually now have more disposals than the opposition yet getting smashed on the scoreboard, don't care what anyone says to me that means lack of a decent game plan or at least the lack of player talent to execute one.
-
2 steps back
Shame the cliff was only 1 1/2 steps back.
Have we got the balls to take any action on this or stability in mediocrity or pooness will suffice as long as we show stastuffingbility FMD
Rioli showing up most of these pretenders
-
God we used to run the ball like the Eagles did then.....
I have also noticed that we don't go straight down the guts anymore from one end to the other it's all wide.
-
Can't our guys kick beyond 30m at goal while the opposition bangs them threw from 50+ :banghead.

So overrated they all want to suck his licorice stick.

Richmond will be pleased with its third term to date. They lead contested possession 30 to 22 and have had more inside 50s in this term (10) than they recorded in the entire first half.

I'm telling you, this dh coach will talk up the 3rd qtr as a positive
Oh look the kpi's in the third quarter were what we were looking for so I'd say that wasn't a step back at all. In fact we feel, as a footy club that was regimented, stoic footy. If anything from our discussions within our own four walls we are better than last year and we successfully played a Richmond brand of footy.
-
Oh well that's it for me. Nighty night :sleep
It's only early there :snidegrin

Priddis out and Shuey stands up, imagine if before the start of the game we lost Cotch, would hate to think of the massacre following that (not that we aren't getting killed anyway). We just have a team of cry babies so when the going gets tough they just mentally and physically break. This isn't two steps back this is two giant leaps, its shattering to think that really we have no light at the end of the tunnel for this season. All we can hope is to get games into the Riolis and Menadues and hope we can attract some talent via free agency and the draft next season....this is definitely a rebuild in my book.

Note the size of their players compared to our players. Remember this is a team that played in last years Grand Final & was slaughtered. Yet we beat the hawks for several years now. l think we need to draft a few big body players & mthrow some serious money at them to come to the club otherwise our cubs are going to be beaten to a pulp like Cotchin, Miles, Edwards, Deledio

Eagles finished last in 2010 with 4 losses and got Gaff, Darling (priority pick) and Lycett with their first and second round picks. We won a couple of late meaningless games to lose that priority pick (won 6 games) and got Conca and Batch instead with our first and second rounds picks. So glad we didn't tank and not use the system.

Oh look once we started playing the Richmond way we only lost the 2nd half by a couple of goals. If Ashbury and Hampson didn't go down we feel we would've been right in it. We had more possessions, we feel if we can just tweak a couple of things we'll be right back in amongst it

Interesting private conversation afterwards too ;).
He didn't last long after that fan forum either. Sadly our list managers haven't got a clue when it comes to using the system unlike other clubs. Blair is just another useless idiot. Remember how we were all prepared for FA :huh3 and how we use our own in-house rating system out of 1000 to rank every player in the AFL. That's how we end up with Hampson, Hunt, etc ... and sign them up to multi-year contracts :facepalm.
People target their angst at Dimma and the players but footy clubs these days need everyone within the footy dept. delivering best practices and right decisions. Our recruiting and especially list management are still terrible. No.1 one hack and first to go should be Blair.
-
Well 68 points ain't too bad considering we were down several players on the bench & 10 players on the ground. They failed to put us right away. Benny Gale should be ringing the new coach by now. Hardwick will be sacked.
2 senioir coaches in Hardwick & Chocco is pathetic
-
The only entertainment for the whole night is still to come, Dimma's presser, let me guess, injuries and young players plus the huge experience drain we had at the end of last season....this guy is deadset delusional, is going to have the blowtorch applied well and truly over the coming weeks, interested to see when the cracks start to appear.

In 2012 we won 10 and apart from losing to Carlton in round 1 by 44 points and apart from that our greatest losing margin was 22 points to Fremantle in Round 20.
Back then we were full of optimism as apart from making elementary errors that cost us which many would admit were part of growing pains we played a much more fluent brand off footy.
Percentage finished around 117 too and we kicked scores of 100 or more 8 times.
Defensively we are more sound but that comes with Rance evolving to the beast that he is.
I think we lack flair. We play safe footy. We lack an ability for someone to take the game by the scruff of the neck. In trying to find consistency Dimma has taken away natural instinct over the course of the last 3 or so years which in that time may have given us a reasonable win loss record but has stifled also any further development or growth in players in the stage of their careers from year 3-6 and thus we find ourselves still making the same mistakes.
Furthermore curbing natural instinct leaves a player in two minds and thus more prone to error which then leads to the same old adage that we are mentally weak, which we are.
Lamentably it will still get worse this year before it gets better this year but by then the same old ending with a horrible loss exposing our deficiencies will only come to fruition, thus groundhog day.
-

laughable performance really...
A mixture of about 3-4 top end players (cotch, rance, Jroo) ... followed by some mid tiers who did OK (KMAC, Lambert, Astbury) ... followed by some VERY average players (HUNT, HAMPSON, B.ELLIS)... followed by some youngsters who showed glimpses (RIOLI, LLOYD).
A filthy night though. Many questionable decisions by our messiah coach SOFTwick.
Personally i feel more comfortable with a belting like this as i'm hoping it will open some wounds that have been stitched up in recent times. We aren't even close to winning a final. we are not a team. We have not learnt anything over the pre season. We are not playing for the coach. We will most definitely struggle all year.
Hardwick spent majority of his career in the backline, and he has kept the defensive mentality throughout his time with us. This is not the way forward. We must adapt to the attacking style that the dogs/hawks/port play or wait until the next revolution in football.
-
Our running efforts were pathetic, they didn't run hard to space or to team tackle which is where pressure and turn overs come from
Hartley , Richardson and Jackson just can't compete as most other sides are better at recruiting even though we now are a big club with big money. Why can't we land a decent player?
-
Anyone just simply not give a stuff? Same thing every year. I am completely void of empathy and not even angry at the result. I switched it off about 15 minutes into the first. Richmond are a chore to follow and the only thing still holding me is the life time investment.

Get out the tape and watch the third when he is less than 2 metres from his opponent he flaps his arms and tells Houli to chase who's 10 metres away. Poor, non existent 2nd effort. Then fast forward about 8 minutes later he just doesn't chase, takes 2 steps and stops, great effort right there.
At stoppages he tackled, in one on ones when he needed to chase he didn't
If what he dished up last night is what we've got to look forward to then we've wasted a spot on our list. Jed Adcock would give more than this bloke

Tigers froze, just poor
Joshua Papanikolaou
SEN
16 Apr 2016, 12:21PM
In a game Richmond desperately needed to show improvement after a poor start to the season they froze and were overall very poor in their 68-point defeat to West Coast at Domain Stadium, says David King.
The Tigers now have only one win from their first four games and that is not even close to the most concerning statistic when analysing their first month of football.
"It was just poor, all around it was poor," said King on SEN's Crunch Time.
"They had no answers down back, I don't think I've seen a more dysfunctional defensive game - they didn't put any pressure on the Eagles.
"Well they froze down back, they couldn't execute out of the backline.
"I keep going back to what you can guarantee when you walk in the door, I can guarantee that I'll put pressure on and do my best to force the opposition into turnovers - they didn't bring any of that."
The first half in particular was largely one-sided as the Eagles simply refused the visitors any easy access into their own forward line, the inside 50 count finished 60 to 27.
Amazingly the Tigers only had two fewer possessions for the entire match but had just four scoring shots at half time.
"They kicked 15 points from turnovers, the average is almost ten goals across the competition, 56 points, they kicked 15 and they were laughable errors late," added King.
"It was so bad (the numbers), no you can't throw this one away (as the coach).
"The same thing happened last year."
Mark Robinson was stunned with how easily the Eagles dominated territory and suggested that coach Damien Hardwick may even consider forgetting the game altogether in terms of a review.
"It was unbelievable the stark difference in the numbers," he said.
"They went with the plan to handball out of the backline, that was going really well until they started missing targets.
"Then in the second quarter they couldn't even get it out of the backline.
"I mean the word froze, it just collapsed, everything collapsed... the only thing that can be done on this is work, head down and work their way through it."

West Coast ruckman Scott Lycett has accepted a one-match ban for striking Richmond forward Ty Vickery.
Lycett's blatant punch to Vickery's face was graded intentional with low impact to the head, meaning he could accept a one-match ban with an early guilty plea. He wasted no time in taking the suspension, confirming it on Monday night.

Quirky Round 4 stats: Richmond’s terrible forward half differential
Herald Sun
20 April 2016
IMAGINE playing a whole quarter of football exclusively in your opposition forward half.
Well, that’s exactly what Richmond did in Friday night’s loss to West Coast.
Champion Data stats reveal the ball spent 34.52 minutes more in the Eagles’ forward half compared to the Tigers’ — effectively one whole quarter of footy — the club’s worst ever differential.
No wonder the Tigers struggled, particularly in the first half when they managed only four scoring shots to West Coast’s 23. What a smacking. It’s fair to say Damien Hardwick would have honed in on that point in his Monday review meeting with the players, that’s if he could hold off mentioning it for that long.
“It all came down to contested ball, we were well beaten around the contest,” Hardwick said post-match. “We know how important clearance is against West Coast Eagles, especially early doors.
“We just battled in that area, then just couldn’t get the ball our of defensive 50. We knew it was going to bne a tight tussle, and it is pretty tough to get it out (of defence) on a smaller ground.
“Defensively they set up very well.
“We just couldn’t break through their first line (of defence).”
