Very bad news
-
Miles has had a very poor start to the season and i hope it is due to an ankle restricting him. Needs a rest or needs to find form at VFL.
-
Shakes head. If I see Hunt turn it over nine more time aggggggh. Can I say game lost at selection table again.

Yeah
Thank god for hunt

Watching Hunt last week
I thought to myself he has played well enough to be recalled

In the magoos....
-
Who cares.
-
Sadly, that's right
-
Oh ok now I get it ...we're tanking..... :shh
-
Watching Hunt last week I thought he should never, ever be recalled.....however, he did play the "Richmond Way"....
-
He had a shocker the week before against Collingwood and to his credit played very well last week
I don't agree either but he did play well

He is not up to it Jack....but I take your point.

Watching Hunt last week I thought he should never, ever be recalled.....however, he did play the "Richmond Way"....
what he provided in the VFL game was some outside run & was very good, something Miles hasnt offered this year
Good selection as Spewbiaco is huge & we need run
-
Who won the brownlow
-
Taylor Hunt is never a good selection anytime, anywhere.
"Miles out" - says it all about Hardwick really....
-
If miles plays magoos we will know.
Hunt.What does one say?

He was that "outside" he was scraping paint all day...Subiaco is the only ground on earth that may suit him.
-
Short is outstanding in his first game and kicks 3 goals.
His team mates ignore him in a quiet second game and he is dropped.
WTF is going on down there?
-
Hardwick is what's going on down there....

Funny how Priddis won that brownlow
The ground is huge phhhhow. Had better drop ou only inside player
It sets us up for another week of "how rubbish is Cotchin" too

Not at miles age he didn't
Proabley cause he wasn't dropped for hacks like grigg and friends
-
Obviously Hardwick thinks these selections will have us moore in the hunt but I feel they will see us miles short......
-
Not even mad about Miles. Doesn't look right.
Hunt though.....
-

WTF is going on down there?
Clarkson supported Sicily after a round 1 shocker....he went out of his way at training to emphasise to him that he would remain in the side and that he belonged. Hardwick is clueless.
-
So Hardwick thinks Hunt is the answer to our problems, not even remotely surprised by this selection.
-
We have to be tanking. Miles dropped while C Ellis remains in the side.

HHHAAARRRGGGGHHHHHH IT IS HILARIOUS.
So after 7 years of Hardwick the best we can come up with is a 24 yr old failure from another club and a 25yo with the skills of a 10 yo.What marvelous depth this club has built up over the last 7 years.
The scary part is it is about as good as it gets outside of the handful of injured players.
Hmm i wonder what odds i can get on that 1 and 9 i thought a possibility.
-
As I said the other day, I'm happy enough to see players like Miles dropped if their form warrants. It sends a decent message that form counts, not reputation.
But as I also said I wanted to see something different. How is picking Hunt after nearly the worst game I had seen by one individual ever, get a recall a week later?
If this game was in Melbourne I wouldn't go.
Moore coming in I'm happy with but FMD I cannot believe they have picked Hunt again. I would have said his papers were stamped after that performance 2 weeks ago.
Also dropping a kid after one quiet week after going out on a limb and saying we may need to take a step back to go two steps forward, basically saying we are going to play some kids. Just pathetic!
-
Can you imagine Hunt, Houli and BEllis in the same backline all at once!
Putrid!!
I makes me sick some of the decisions this FH is making.
-
Hardwick hedging his bets with selections,, this week I think it might be three steps back and no steps forward, his presser again will be essential viewing. We could have record clangers, when we actually get the ball that is, don't think we will see much of it to be honest. Can already hear Hardwick saying we got beaten by last years grand finalist so we now know the level we have to be at..... More and more spin each week.
-
Miles' form has not been crash hot by anyone's measure.
But it was nowhere near that bad that you would bring Taylor Hunt in for him. :banghead
-
Obviously Hardwick thinks these selections will have us moore in the hunt but I feel they will see us miles short......
:lol
-
This is a PR disaster. Dumma just gets dumber and Dumber and is now the Dimwit. Hunt? We are just going a big back so as to go forwards and we pick Hunt?????!!!!!! This is RFC. I forget. Hunt. To improve our disposals I guess. Super torpedoes into the forward line (Of the opposition). Hunt !!!!???
-

Don't forget Astbury

Moore was brought in for Miles. It's not like we're an inside player short from last week.
-
Agree with sentiments that this game will be lost because of team selections. Hardwick's failure to stick with Youth in dropping Short and his decision to bring Hunt in whose skill level is questionable when the team needs skilful players shows very poor judgement.
-
I can deal with Moore as we gave him a life line and should at least give him a try.
I can't deal with Hunt's selection. He played one of the worst games I have seen by a senior AFL footballer the game before last. I don't care if he had 100 possessions in the VFL last week. He can't be rewarded with a senior recall after just one week. Add to the fact that he is not the future as he has little upside and it makes the decision even more unbelievable. And poor Short gets the chop...... :banghead
-
This game will be lost because our drafting has been woeful, our players crap themselves under pressure and the coach is clueless. Hunt won't make a difference either way
-

Disagree that team mates ignored. Last week i saw him in no mmans land half a dozen times on the hbf. Not sure what he was supposed to be doing but didnt look good.
I dont agree that one game seals your fate but by the looks of selection its not because a bad game.
-
yeah, top class coaching and development. kid plays his first afl game as a small forward and shows good signs. next week he spends time at half back and looks all at sea. For sure, the obvious response is to drop him, FFS!
-

Couldn't agree more, dropping crap to bring in crap won't make a bees fart of difference, the issue is the cattle and it's just not there apart from our top bracket

It's probably been mentioned but I cbf going through the thread but Rance aside how bad is that back line comprising of soft, poo scared, out of form, slow, plodders. All we need is Hunt to be the spare in defence to round out that lot of spuds.

This sounds suspiciously like an opinion piece.
Wow how you've grown! :clapping
Now leave the opinions to the big boys son.

Doesn't help when you lay a good chase down tackle and not one team mate gets around you. Selfish bunch of mates looking out for each other

If they are going to bring someone in despite poor skills and decision making, why not give Castagna a run at it? Might not quite be as good as Hunt defensively in theory (very debatable) but from what I can tell he isn't a poo scared little girl which more than makes up for it. Factor in the potential and surely Castagna deserves the nod?

100% agree.
And there is no doubt Castagna would give you more attack when we have the footy.
I thought this was his week, that's what makes the Hunt decision even more disheartening.
-
I agree should try Castagna and see whether he is upto it then revert back to someone who is not.
-
Also would have loved George to get a chance this week.....
I get more upset thinking about the clubs ineptitude in do many areas......
-
I can see why they haven't picked castagna instead of hunt.
He'd quite possibly do ok off half back, then next week he would be played in the forward pocked and struggle, and then the football challenged hunt would come in for him the next week anyway.
They have basically just streamlined the process and achieved in one week what would have taken three. Quite smart actually.
