Season over ...
Play the kids ...
Trade B.Ellis, Griffiths anyone with some currency ...
Get a top 6 pick and pick a GUN HARD RUNNING Midfielder ...
Get a ruckman (Maric is horrible) ...
Sack Hardwick ...
Get a coach with a good attacking game plan ...

We don't know how to tank

Our recuient team is so bad we would waste the pick anyway
We won't tank and still will be lucky to win another game this season

The first point is spot on and the reason some of us can see no success in the near future.
They're engrained in the joint like a signature on a tree trunk.
Gotta chop down the tree

It's the perfect year for Richmond to tank. We can get good draft picks with our first two picks .....
Oh, wait a minute ....
What did we give up for Yarran again?
.... Oh dear ...

Good thing we traded out our 2nd picks
Idiots

Bah as soon as the pressure is off, we'll win 7-8 on the trot to finish in mid table mediocrity, then start the spin next preseason about the half step back we needed to have, rinse and repeat

They are wasting peoples time on this god forsaken planet.
Nor everyone has another 36 years on their clock to sit back and wait to win a flag, whilst Johnny Paycheck compromises any tangible rebuild in order to preserve his position.

Aside from finishing in the bottom 3 and gaining a top kid in the draft, there's not much point tanking with no more priority picks on offer these days. We blew that chance in 2009-10 and are paying for it now in terms of lack of quality and depth.

But it does allow for a much friendlier draw - playing bottom 4 teams twice is a massive advantage (if you don't belong there) and this will help a club like the Bombers next year

How about we trade for a second rounder?
Conca? Ellis? Griff in a package with another of his ilk?

Just gotta hope someone is stupid enough to accept it

Some on here were saying BEllis would get us an early first round pick at trade time last year. Has the 5 games this year really hurt is worth that much?
Id take whatever I could get for him at the end of the season and be happy to be rid of him.
Griff, I'd play him every game from here on in and trade at the end of the year regardless of what happens between now and then.
Same with Conca, play him then trade him.
With a bit of luck we may get 3 late second rounders and I take them and run.
Pay Hurley whatever it takes.
And get Zac Clarke as a FA.
So we might have pick 3/4/5 (young gun)
3 second round picks
Other late picks
Hurley and Clarke.
Our list can change pretty quickly if we are willing to make some difficult calls.

Hurley and z Clarke would be a good start
