Yeah ok. Didn't know that. No coincidence that he goes out and we win in my opinion.

Big ground need runners, B.Ellis will stay.
Cotchin in for Short
Someone in for Taylor Hunt.
-
Cotchin (cheekbone) and Kane Lambert (lung/rib) could both return for next Saturday night's clash against winless Fremantle at Domain Stadium.

Watch the last two minutes again ...
Hunt out, Cotchin in.

I hope the stupid coaches don't drop Menadue. For all his mistakes I liked that he seemed to be always trying to take the game on but he did cough it up at times.
I liked that he was trying to do this but I don't think the coaches would like it at all.

No need.
He'll shoot us in the head anyway.

Conca every chance to come back in. Cotchin obviously if he's fit.

This. Give Conca a run next week so we can start to build the duds currency up

Conca should be zero chance and I'd say is zero change (rightly)
He's played 3 qtrs. of footy in 9 weeks, needs more game time in the VFL
-
I don't believe Hardwick will make wholesale changes. He will bring in Cotchin if fit but I have this dreadful feeling he will drop Short instead of Hunt.

22 touches in 3 quarters says straight into the ones when fit imo. A tri0 to W.A makes it unlikely this week. Then again, hes from over there.
-
I would only bring Conca in on the back of a limited preparation if it were an elimination final.

;D
Hunt gets dropped, he was a liability.
Probs drop Vickery and put another runner in - Lambert if fit.
Short wasn't great but deserves a block of games

Probably did a lot more running during his (quad) injury too compared to a torn hammy

The Barometer - Round 9
Herald-Sun
16th May, 2016
RICHMOND
ON THE BLOCK: How can we possibly put someone on the block after this most joyous of drought-breaking wins? Alas, Ty Vickery was goalless and poor. Does he survive this time? It’s harsh on a recently-promoted rookie, but Jayden Short was also quiet, even if he did set up two scoring opportunities. Someone has to come out for the captain though don’t they?
ON THE CUSP: Yep, Trent Cotchin is virtually certain to return this weekend after missing the last two with a fractured cheekbone. Richmond’s VFL side, meanwhile, saluted by a lazy 79 points — with several listed players thrusting their hands up. Liam McBean and Andrew Moore [sic - it was Callum Moore] kicked four goals, Jacob Townsend was best on ground and Nathan Broad and Ivan Maric were also prominent.
SAM EDMUND’S FORECAST: Hang on! History isn’t going to repeat for a third time is it? Was this after-the-siren winner over Sydney the latest trigger for another late-season surge to the finals? Certainly, Damien Hardwick is hopeful it will be, and with winless Fremantle up next — and Essendon the week after — the Tigers could get that familiar head of steam up once again. They will fly west with as much confidence as you can take from only your second win in eight games. Deledio’s class, Griffiths’ five-goal bag, Rioli’s incisiveness and Rance and Grimes back in defence, there’s suddenly a bit to like. But, really, they couldn’t ... could they?

In the mix: round nine

After two weeks sidelined with a fractured cheekbone, captain Trent Cotchin should be cleared for the Tigers' trip to face Fremantle. The club had taken a cautions approach last week but Cotchin is expected to have healed sufficiently now to play.
Richmond will also be looking at its defensive mix, with Bachar Houli sidelined. Taylor Hunt replaced Houli in last weeks' team, but there are other options that could be considered.
Reece Conca, who was earmarked as a half-back pre-season, returned from a hamstring injury in the VFL and got through unscathed with 22 possessions, six clearances and seven tackles.
Running defender Jason Castagna (21 possessions), who was an emergency last week, is another option in the role if the Tigers decide to tinker with a winning mix.
Courageous midfielder Kane Lambert (punctured lung/rib) will need to pass a fitness test after pushing hard to play last week.

Chaplin had a very ordinary game against the Swans. Should be but won't be dropped.

It would not surprise me of the anti Cotchin mafia want him to spend a few weeks in the twos
Learning the defensive side of the game perhaps

Apparently it's going to be wet Saturday night.
