Title: Captain's choice
Post by: big tone on May 31, 2016, 08:31:17 PM
Having a debate recently with WP about Cotch and his captaincy got me thinking of previous captains of our club and how Cotch compares with them?
So who do we think has been our best captain since our last premiership? And why?
And is it as important as some make out? Especially with multiple leaders theses days?
IMO if it takes one guy to pump you up or tell you where to stand it says more about them than you.
But if that captain can do something special at a particular stage of the game then that's just a bonus.
The leader of the club needs to give 100% always which intern should inspire his teammates to follow.

Matthew Knights was in my opinion the best Richmond captain of recent times. He was a leader who could stand up when it counted.
