Why ?

If 2016 has taught us anything he is a fringe player at best , occasionally looks serviceable due to the talents of Rance and Grimes.

Change the title to giving Batchelor another chance to embarrass the club, coach, recruiters and himself please because that is what he does everytime he steps on the park

As a somewhat Batchelor defender (by no means have I said he's a star with potential but rather should be decent depth) even I'm shaking my head at his game. Think he's beating Hunt for worst performance of the year  :help

So the trick is to call someone a dud continuously until they inevitably have a bad game as all players do and you can claim you've always been right

He had been playing like crap since last year, you and others just can't see it through the glasses. Even the clown Hardwick had him dropped. But you keep holding onto the hope he will be in the best champ.... :clapping

Should be replaced never to return and would never of returned apart from the injuries...move on, he is washed up.

So wait is Dimma a clown or is his word gospel? One minute you call him a clown, the next you use him to validate your opinion on players such as Hampson, Vickery and Batchelor.

Under the theory that a club is only as good as its bottom 6 players .....that is why we struggle so much.

Batchelor looks like a country footballer . Hindsight is a wonderful thing but wish we should of kept Dea and flicked Batch.

It all well and good wanting to get rid of conca

Yet the current defensive options outside of c Ellis who goes alright are -

Houli (soft)
Morris (average)
Bachelor (average)
Hunt (average)
Yarren (gone walkabout).

And that's not taking into account astbury isn't much good Are rooted without rance / grimes.

They say flags are won from the back... It's a circus down there

Would of been nice to have trelor or danger off a hbf huh...

Hurley would a good start

These decisions are often based on who is out of contract and who is not.

Heaps of duds contracts ending

2016: Astbury, Batchelor, Butler, Chaplin, Conca, Griffiths, Grigg, Hampson, Lambert, Lloyd, Maric, McBean, McKenzie, Menadue, A.Moore, Vickery

He was FILTHY.

The dude has sore shoulders from carrying hacks and his patience is wearing thin, as evidenced by the suspension for giving Watts a tickle up.

He nearly smashed him. You could see he wanted to belt him.

Good job, more of that needed instead of the impotent reactions they usually dish up. Interesting that one of the players that played against the Hawks in the GF said that they way they carried on yelling at each other was like they hated each other but it was all out of getting the job done and guess what.

That's the problem with our players, they go and cry when challenged like Rance did to Batchelor.

Don't think physical contact is a good look out on the field. Batch did out body his opponent in his next contest and took a good contested grab for a shot on goal that he unfortunately shanked

It was the best piece of leadership shown by a Tiger all day. What a shame our coach refuses to take note

Shoving a less-talented teammate who is already down on confidence because he made a mistake is not good leadership.

We all love Rance but that was stupid and not helpful.

They should all be really really nice to each other out there shouldn't they. I mean look how far it's got us now. I would hate to see their feelings hurt.

"Shoving a less talented team mate" well that sums it up doesn't it.

Boy even when you criticise players  you go soft.Make no mistake half the list needs to go and thats not including most of the juniors. Get rid of the F/D  and bring on the rebuild i say.

Actually thought the same thing

Batchelor was woeful, on par with the Hunt game -v- as the worst game by an individual but gee instead of bearating him would have been great to see someone go to him and give soem words of encouragement

Or at least wait until you're not in the middle of a game. Save that sort of treatment for half-time or after the game or something.

Hmm i no longer blame Batchelor he cant help it if he is a dud which he surely is.

We had plenty of height in Grimes, Rance, Astbury  Vlastuin came out and Conca replaced him down back we also had short playing back again lol .  I laugh because it is more of the same stupidity  nippy little fwd playing back  what a joke. It is the same old same old.  thats 5 defenders so Batchelor comes in to perform what role again. Where is the run carry and rebound  there are options for this role.
Just to finish how many times did Jayden Short end up having to try and make a spoil on one of their bigger fwds where was you batch.

That's the coaches job given he is the one that keeps picking him. Rance is just thinking what everyone else is which is how the hell is he getting a game when he flat out can't play.

Hes had what 6 yrs of encouragement and a short  stick. About time someone used a different approach.
He is not up to it and this very fact is not lost on his team mates and they are losing patience. Really who can blame them.
Good on Alex for doing what has to be done after all with out Rance WE DONT HAVE A BACKLINE.

LMFAO The stupidity is never ending. Last time i looked 4 of those mentioned are primarily mids. One of them would be our best rebounding defender if we played him there. The reality is it is easy to fit Short into the team as a fwd.

Hey lets not go there im still spewing. It was a close run thing which was more than i really expected. Reckon if the game was on the gold coast i would have doubled the bet and probably got the bikkies.Btw i got odds of 5.55 in any two horse race thats great.  In a two horse race involving us  even better.
