Fire away ....
-
No changes
-
I would still like to see Butler, C Moore and Chol get games before the years end.
-
Anyone to replace Conca.
-
You can't burn players though
Let McBean, Castanga, Short play the next few weeks
Rioli ?
-
hunt
Hampson
B Ellis

hunt
Hampson
B Ellis
So who will replace Hampson??
-
cellis and Lennon thanks - no kids dropped
-
Although I thought he was Ok (didn't notice him so it means he was Ok ) would drop Hunt and bring in another kid, leanign towards Butler just to give him a run and see what he offers
Calls have to be made on these 2nd year kids so we need to see what he offers
-
At least one of Lennon, Butler, Chol, C.Moore, Broad, Ellis, Elton. If not more. Just have to see how some of these kids go. Likely to see Townsend, A.Moore and Marcon before we see any of the other kids though

Agree. I know we want to get games into the kids but I don't think Rioli is up to it yet. He has trouble being so light and don't think he is reading the pace of the game yet.For me Lennon in for him.

Rioli must play the season out. He does so many little things throughout the game that is so important. He just needs to find space and easy ball. Tackling and harassing is first class :clapping

His defensive intensity is incredible. We haven't had a player with the intent and speed he has for as long as I can remember. Probably affecting his attacking ability because he's so spent by harassing and chasing but it'll only get better as he gets fitter. Keep him in
-
Rioli is still making some decision errors and taking on things where he shouldn't but that is experience. He has tons of upside. Chol can't play til he comes off of the Rookie list.
-
Would like to see Butler, Drummond and Lennon be brought in.

agree he's out of contract so let's see if he deserves a new offer for next yr.
i'd like to see no kids dropped for the rest of the year & some more added

agree, i recall seeing this in Rd 1, there was a chain of Handballs by Carlton in our fwd half & he ran & put preassure on 4 blokes one after the other.. it was something we see Cyril do week in week out & not many others do it.

With altt he depth, it should be quite an even game.
-
Can't bring Lennon in with no match fitness in him. He will get injured again quickly.
l don't care who is in or out cause we it's a dead game.
-
Drummond in for Hunt

The Barometer - Round 17

RICHMOND
ON THE BLOCK: Not the kids. They provided the buzz and even if first-round pick Daniel Rioli was quiet against the Dogs, the next seven weeks are vital for the development born after 1994. Taylor Hunt kept Bontempelli quiet for spurts but was beaten and while Ben Griffiths marked strongly, his field kicking at times was costly.
ON THE CUSP: Ben Lennon is the priority to get into the side. He’s now had two runs in the VFL after a lengthy layoff and you’d expect him to play against Essendon on Saturday. Best mates and rookie picks Kane Lambert and Adam Marcon did what they’ve done for years — looked too good for the VFL. Marcon had it 35 times while Lambert collected 32 in Saturday’s loss to Footscray. Former Giant Jacob Townsend kicked two goals. Nathan Drummond is another Dimma will want to stuff back into the AFL after returning from an ACL while Maibor Chol will get a guernsey once his workrate lifts. He excited in the NAB Challenge.
SAM LANDSBERGER’S FORECAST: How quickly perception can change? Dimma promised there was plenty stockpiled in the past two years and the footy world might start agreeing with him. Oleg Markov’s debut was genuinely exciting while Jason Castagna, Jayden Short and Connor Menadue all look like they might be ‘above the line’. Hardwick guaranteed Liam McBean a run of games (bad news for Ty Vickery) but he still looks nervous at times. How good would a bag against the leaky Bombers be for his confidence?

Gotta agree with this.He may not be getting a lot of ball but nearly everything else is fine.Playing afl can not hurt him or his development. Just play as many kids as possible there is no reason for the rest of this year at least not to.
There are three or four other regulars i would cut as well to allow most of the kids to play.
would like to see Drummond and Lennon come in this week
Not for one of the kids though.

RICHMOND
Playing the kids in round 16 produced arguably the most exciting performance of the Tigers' season, and the youth-first approach should continue against Essendon on Saturday.
Don't expect more than one or two changes after such an encouraging team effort.
Ben Lennon has played two games at VFL level in his return from a shoulder injury and could be considered after racking up 23 possessions and four tackles.
Nathan Drummond (20 possessions) will be discussed as an option but may need more time at the lower level in his comeback from a knee reconstruction.
Kane Lambert (32 possessions) responded to being dropped in the best possible way and should be considered, while midfielder Shaun Grigg will need to pass a fitness test after suffering a minor knee injury against Port Adelaide in round 15 and missing one match.
Ty Vickery went goalless in the VFL and would not be expecting a recall.
