Well if he wasn't playing good and doing his job he wouldn't be getting a game
Did a fair job on the Bont last week and his previous 3 weeks was very good
Held Chad Wingard against Port

How diabolical is it when two " top 10 " draftees - who are both entering the "prime" age group have been "omitted " due to poor form . Well done Tigers  ::)

Yes, his form has been ok, but we need a severe upgrade on "ok" to be any good and challenge for a top 4 birth. Let another youngster like Lennon in or Drummond instead of Hunt. These guys MAY be the future of the club - Hunt definitely isn't.

My take on Hunt is pretty simple and that is if I don't notice him, he's had a reasonable game. Didn't notice him last week so he was Ok (BTW wasn't on Bont the entire game)

Agree with others I'd rather see a kid in the side instead of him but he hasn't been woeful or our worst the last month, so understand why he is getting a game

Hunt is an ordinary footballer who had  reached his ceiling before even got to punt road.
Happy to play him as he'll help us get an earlier pick in the draft.

Should be booted at years end.

You want to know all about Hunt just ask any responsible Geelong supporter and they'll tell you why their club needed to get rid of him.

Too many of those terrible passages like his third against the Magpies (worse quarter by a player I have ever seen). I don't care how good his "last 3 weeks" have been.  This club is just too soft.
Dogged wouldn't like this but I think after Hunts performance that night he should've been made an example of & berated in front of his teammates and told then and there that he might as well get used to it but your NEVER wearing this jumper again & then let him cry to his mummy. That my friends is how you scare the crap out of the whole team and raise the standard because everyone is on notice.

And if you think that's harsh, I don't because he's already on his second chance but still continues to not just turn the ball over but does it at the worst times and at the worst position on the ground. He's a momentum killer, he epitomises mediocrity.

If you want to be a better team (not mediocre), if you want to reach top four, if you want to raise the standard, if you want to excel, if you want premierships instead of just finals appearances, if you want to win finals, you don't recruit a player like Hunt & if you are stupid enough to recruit him, you don't ever put up with poor performance with second chance fringe dwellers just like him.

Dumma just gets dummer. This was surely his last opportunity to show some vision and to test his hitherto discredited view that we have a great list. His continual selection of players who will get us nowhere and his inability to have some daring with new players is just plain stupid. He has no idea, no vision and he is a shocking coach. Hunt is not an AFL player and he is not the future. Grigg has played ok a few years but he is slow and also not going to move us forwards. Etc. The admin problems at tigerland are considerable. Dummer, however, needs to go.

Did anyone else really enjoy our style of footy last week against the WB?

Our tackling pressure was as good as I've seen it for a long time. That is what our game plan should be until the end of the year just to see the benefits of it.

If you tackle and pressure the opposition when they have the footy you create uncertainty and cause turnovers. They panic and make mistakes.

The minute Dimma coached our guys to carrel rather than all out attack at the guy with the footy he changed our players mindset for the worse.

He coaches to stop the "give and get" where he instructed our guys not to over commit at the player with the footy but make sure after they had disposed of the footy not to let them get it back. How many times do we still see our guys run at the player that has just handballed and stop him from running on rather than turning around and chasing the new guy with the footy. The guy might only be 2 or 3 meters away but is allowed to just run off.

It creates laziness and allows our guys an easy way out not having to fully chase not once but twice.

For me this laziness really shows up in games where the conditions are wet. We have been coached to IMO take the easy option when it comes to body contact and getting "down and dirty".

I thoroughly enjoyed watching last week as we hunted them just as much as they hunted us.
We need to play kids that are willing to do this week in week out in every contest they are involved in.

Sydney have been playing like this for years. They really have overachieved considering their side at times. Pressure wins you games of footy but more importantly wins you games of finals footy.

IMO Dimma needs to go back to basics from here on in. Don't play guys like Grigg, Houli, Griff, Vickery, Ellis as they like the way they have been coached because it meant a few less bruises.

We need quick, tough, energetic players that are willing to work harder than their opposition and I guarantee you we will  win more games than we lose.

I know it's going back a long time now but the best we have looked in the last 30 years is when Northey was coaching us to play exactly this way.

I hope we see it again this week against the Bombers.
