Hi all,
Well it's been over a year since I have jotted out one of my parodies because of work and family commitments,
But I have dusted off the cobwebs and decided to have a crack.
This one has a more optimistic slant than my previous efforts.
Hope you all like it.
We’ve gotta wear shade’s (Sing to the tune of Timbuk3's classic, I gotta wear shades)
We study Wallace’s science
Of sacking the slackers
Recruiting players so fast they singe opponents asses
Things are going great, and they're only getting better.
We’re doing all right, Making good trades
The future's so bright, We’ve gotta wear shades
Another year hoping - we’ll see September action
Make the 8 this year – I’ll buy you all beer
Things are going great, and they're only getting better
We’re doing all right, Making good trades
The future's so bright, We’ve gotta wear shades
Well I'm no longer peeed, watching our teams demise
We’ve a coaching staff looking with fresh new eyes.
Things are going great, and they're only getting better.
We’re doing all right, Making good trades
The future's so bright, We’ve gotta wear shades
We study Wallace’s science
Of sacking the slackers
Recruiting players so fast they singe opponents asses
Things are going great, and they're only getting better.
We’re doing all right, Making good trades
The future's so bright, We’ve gotta wear shades
We gotta wear shades, We’ve gotta wear shades

Very clever tiga :bow ;D. Not use to positive lyrics or no Spud references lol but let's hope your right.
The cheer squad had "The future's so bright, We’ve gotta wear shades" on one of the run-throughs back in 2001 or the start of 2002 IIRC. Oops! lol

Thanks MT, I have to admit, Spud and some of the Dud's took a lot of material with them when they left the Tigers. If we have a good season and I feel the urge to mock, I can attack the opposition which is always good fun. I still think my best work was the one I did on Eddie McGuire called "I've an ego".
I can't believe it's still getting votes over at the Bladder.

You're a very strong willed individual to refrain from dropping in a line about Tivendale Tiga.

I was tempted JF, believe me I was tempted. I'll see what happens after the pre season cup. He may provide me with some ammo by that stage. At the moment I think he is a sleeping minnow waiting to fail but I'll have to give him at least a few games before he hangs himself.

*Ox smokes Christmas joint number 5 for the day. As he ponders his return to Oz for Xmas,he feels a certain degree of melancholy due to the fact he has always been at home to celebrate the birth of Geez,a concept he became distant with in later years.*

Thanks Ox, I wouldn't expect anything less from you. I always appreciate all your moments of brutality crammed into your caravan named honesty trundelling behind your Lleyland P76 on the way to Tooradin for Christmas holidays. :thumbsup ;D
