Dave Astbury pick 35 - wasted pick
Jake Batchelor pick 30 - VFL standard player .paid overs.
Todd Elton pick 26 - can't get a game . Paid overs.
Conca pick 6 - looking more and more like a Tambling-esque debacle. Fail .
Vickery pick 8 - spasmodic . Has shown signs but nowhere where we need him to be . Fail
Griffiths pick 19 - see Vickery . Paid overs.
Cotchin pick 2 - might win a brownlow on a technicality. Career might be derailed by coaches game plan . Win
Deledio pick 1 - not a Chris Judd but given 10 years of quality . Could of had Buddy who has become the games best
forward. Broke even.
Martin pick 3 . Wouldn't the Dees love a time machine . Big win.
Edwards pick 26 - 10th year next season. Only been elite in a couple - certainty not playing at that level now . Doesn't stand up in big games . Considering he is the same pick as Elton I'm going to say win
Jack pick 13 - duel coleman medalist . Would command a top 5 pick if traded . Big win.
Rance pick 18 - has transformed from hack to the best defender since Jackovich. Worth two top 10 picks . Massive win.
Grigg - straight swap for Andy Collins . Since Collins was shown the door at Carlton after a handful of games . Big win.
Ellis pick 15 - I think Brandon could be better under another coach but he is currently playing a soft brand of football .We have broke even .
Vlastuin pick 9 - a little bit vanilla - but could develop into a hardnut . Looks a 200 gamer . Broke even .
Feel free to add more players ...

Astbury and Elton (so far) hasn't worked but at those picks I think they were worth the punt.

Elliot Yeo went after Elton .

Elliot Yeo went after Elton .
If Elton went to Hawthorn, he'd probably be the next Buddy by now.... :banghead
-
Elliot Yeo went after Elton .
Who was desperate to move back home to WA. You know who else went after Elton? A truckload of duds who have already been delisted.

That just means other clubs get rid of duds quicker than us

Probably true, I agree we've held Elton too long without giving him a proper go. Either throw him in the deep end or turf him. But not all later picks are going to work and just because a later one did doesn't mean it's an automatic fail

Put Vlastuin in the middle and he will be a star.
Enough of the Townsend's, Moore's and even Miles'
We need to completely change this side around and try to catch up to the rest of the comp.
-
Vickery pick 8 - spasmodic . Has shown signs but nowhere where we need him to be . Fail
Feel free to add more players ...
had a look at the 08 draft and cried a bit when I saw Phil Davis, Sidebottom, Hannebery, Sloane taken after him

I think I'm the only bloke who doesn't rate Phil Davis*. Looks like a wacko :lol
*Still would take over Vickery

Mat 073, love the topic
Early call
Yarran - looks like a massive miss - But could still be a win fingers crossed
Markov - looks like a massive win - once agaun fingers crossed
McBean - IMVVVVVVVVHO - win if we stick with him and get games into him
-
Sam Lloyd - pick 66 2013 national draft - kicking goals and improving consistently, looks a keeper. Massive win.
Dylan Grimes - pick 2 2010 pre-season draft - tough as nails for his size, quick by foot, can play small or third tall. Massive win.
Anthony Miles - pick 27 2014 rookie draft - has developed into a regular inside midfielder and would play at any club. Massive win.
Bachar Houli - pick 2 2011 pre-season draft - great foot skills and serviceable half back flanker. Massive win.
-
Houli was a win
Draw as time rolls on. Could end as a lose depending how much list blocking the future holds
