Carlton need to beat Essendon
Richmond need to lose to Sydney.
The difference in the margins ive got is roughly 66pts (TBC)
So if Carlton wins by 33pts, we need to lose by 33pts.
We should know the exact margin we need by the start of our game.
Watch this space for updates.

Quarter time:-
Essendon 3.4.22
Carlton 2.6.18

TBH, I don't think it will matter Dooks.
Why? Because if Carlton win, the AFL will probably give the Lions a priority pick so we'll end up with pick 6 anyway.
If they lose, (and the lions get thrashed enough for % to end up on the bottom),Brisbane won't get a pp and we still end up with pick 6.....
-
The Blues look like they are tanking to keep pick 5. Down by 32 points at one stage to Essendon, although it's now back to 19 points at half-time.
-
23 pts down 3/4.
Dare i say it, it looks like Carltank of old

Carlscum are cheats
Did you really think they would have had win today on their white boards :rollin

well, we did our part for this to happen.
Should be appreciative of that, unfortunately we have no control over what happens in other games

who cares what pick we get 4 5 6 or 7 it will not help us when we have our heads stuck up our collective arses and think we can recruit well.
Personally i would hope not to see another recruiting thread until they do what must be done and find people who know what they are doing in the most crucial roles at any footy club.

Spot on

not true. it is vital we dont give up pick 6 for a proven player, as there is little doubt they will find a better player with pick 6.............
-
Ideally I'd like to head to the draft with at least three picks in the top 30.....whether or not the first one is still pick 6 after trade week or ends up being, say, pick 11 -15, I'm not overly fussed...
-
I actually think it more important we bloody well acknowledge where we actually are at and instead of trading for players go out and try to get better picks. But once again this is all moot if we just put our heads in the sand and pretend our recruiters can do the job.
-
so, serious question.
if we have the same recruiting staff, would you be happy to give up pick 6 for prestia, or forgo the trade and trust them to get that pick right?
-
I think our last two drafts have been better ( Rioli was a good choice last year, not sure about Broad..)...apparently coinciding with Hackson taking a back seat to Luke Williams ....we still haven't traded back into the draft though....but that's down to Richardson, Hartley & Halfstep, not the recruiters....

I don't care either way, but to answer your question take Prestia. I think we are screwed regardless as Prestia nor pick 5 will do much to this list
We are cooked for next year also and one pick or player ain't gonna change that.
