Title: Who is the 6th best player at Richmond - attempt #2
Post by: Stalin on August 28, 2016, 05:53:25 PM
Asked this question some time ago under less gloomy circumstances.

Interesting to note perhaps all nominations have gone backwards under the development of hardwick.

Miles dumped to Vfl
Titch looks shot
Grimes an vlastuin not getting any better?

Consider our players like plants.
Wilting away in a hot summers day without water.
When they cool change comes with some late rain everything will change.

This nomination may receive some mockery but I would like to suggest  Sam Lloyd.

35 goals this year is a great return for a speculative pick 66.

Ty and Griff should be embarrassed.

That's not a bad call for lloyd. It hard to think of anyone else who has remotely covered themselves in glory this year.

If it's a question of which player other clubs think is pur 6th best player I'd say Edwards or Ellis B, because of their trade currency

If the question is internal and just who is our 6th best basedon what weve seen this season

I'd go as far as to suggest Rioli, Short, Mrakov just about share it in the sense of how important they are for the future

While I concur with the future prospects in Markov Rioli and Short. Mrakov only played 8 games, Rioli plays in patches but he will be a gun and short took until the 2nd half of the season to get going.  So IMHO they probably won't get 6th in the B&F this year.  But all 3 v important for the future.

If you take these 3 as the successes thus year then once again our rookie draft is doing well but finally we seem to have found a player in rnd 2+ in the draft. Combined with lloyd we might actually be getting our recruiting on track a bit.

Short's been stuffing woeful in the last few games.....and don't reckon I've seen a player get done for stepping over the line from a kick in twice within three weeks since Rod Carter....

Deps mum is Indian and is a huge fan of Deepak Chopra, seeing him countless times on her favourite program the Oprah Winfrey Show.
After reading his books she became one of his biggest fans and an adherent Chopras ideas about metaphysics, including the study of consciousness and Vedanta philosophy.
During her mid twenties at the height of her infatuation she vowed, if possible, to marry the man she privately referred to as "Dep".

Just after her 27th birthday after accepting that her dream of marrying Deprak was impossible she met a kindly man whilst completing her doctorate at Melbourne University. His name was Mr Reginald Ression, a simple kind hearted man 10 years her senior. She met him when she needed some tiling work done in her kitchen, she liked him and used him several times for various renovations in her home. She eventually dated and later married the man whom she effectionately referred to as Reg.

Whilst getting one of her regular check ups with the gynochologists, they both decided they wanted to know the sex of their first child. After learning they were having a son, Reg asked her what she wanted to name the child and without hesitation she exclaimed, "the name of our boy will be Dep", a tear running down her cheek as she said it. Reginald leant back in the chair and clasped her hand tighter as he said, "Dep it is, our boy will be called Dep".
