Title: Who will be our new coach in 2018?
Post by: torch on September 01, 2016, 09:29:19 AM
2017 is already a write off.

Horrible decisions already and Hardwick as dumb as dog ....

So who will be available and likely to bring Richmond back from the dark Hardwick days?

I think there is a good chance Hardwick will be gone by the halfway mark next year .

Mind you he doesn't do himself any favours by predicting a quick rebound back into the eight.

The media speculation and scrutiny is going to be unrelenting next year - Goodluck Damo.

If McRae continues to improve the twos I can see him being offered the top role. Players are enjoying his game plan. Took half a season to de-Hardwickize them.

What a joke.

Club needs a new board (as the hag has pledged allegiance to dickwick) and to fire every single senior coach before season 2017.
Anything less is perpetuation of a losing culture.

Hold these idiots accountable.

I hear they're worried about the pressure he'll be under in 2017 and are already negotiating terms for a contract extension at the beginning of the season to ease that pressure :shh

Lol weve spent the last 5 years making on and off field decisions based on managing perceptions and PR spin whilst other teams focus on winning flags.

Absolute imposters.

McRae caretaker from round 12....
I must admit I heard him a few times this year at quarter and 3 quarter time in games and wasn't that impressed. But I've also heard pretty good reports about him too.
I probably wasn't that impressed because he kept saying "play the Tiger way" which is clearly terrible.

I think we need a senior coach that the players are basically scared of. One the players respect but one that isn't overly friendly with the players. I recon Paul Roos had the perfect mix.
A coach that drops players when they are out of form regardless of who they are. (Stringer)
A coach that will back his players but also a coach not afraid to take a stance with them.
A coach that doesn't waver on the pressure/tackling side of the game. It should be if you don't tackle you play in the two's until you are willing too.
I've always said, it doesn't take talent to tackle pressure, it takes intent.
