Title: Blair Hartley
Post by: Francois Jackson on October 15, 2016, 08:29:23 AM
Only at the Richmond FC can such an incompetent bastard, sill hold down such an important position and it seems he is about stuff  up once again

No I'm not talking about Prestia because the truth is I don't care and will be happy if they stood their ground and didn't get bent over.

What annoys me is seeing blokes like Stewart, Steele going for third rounders.

Hackson can barely land first rounders so Hartley if he was actually good at his job should be targeting these types with late picks. Clearly he has zero negotiation skills whatsoever.

That's why this rebuild rearrange is a complete farce, unless all departments are shown the door and none more important than telling this guy to FO

Ive been one of Hartley's biggest critics  (copped a few whacks for whacking him over the journey  ;D) but he isnt the chied negotiator this season

It's Dan's job

Our inability to bring in decent picks at trade time is one of the main reasons we have never built our list properly.

Record for pick trading since Hartley arrived:

2010: IN-30  51    TRADED- Tambling
2011: IN-15  79    TRADED- Morris & 14,Morton
2012: IN-42          TRADED- Graham
2013: IN-
2014: IN-
2015: IN-*19 120 TRADED- 31 70 (2016)26

My numbers might not be accurate but I count only 5 players that have been traded out in the last 6 years

So here we have a football department who pass Theb,a ,annually.

One year it's his fault, next year it's the others, year before that it was both of them.

How they are still employed wholly represents the PegEnny ideology.

So Blair ain't involved with trade discussions this year which begs the question what is the clown involved in then?

I don't buy it for a second. His involved or they would have sacked him. Ooh but they can't as the payout is too large

Right now, the poster boy for pro scouting is Richmond list analyser Blair Hartley. Having started his AFL journey at Essendon as a back-room operator and forward scout, he advanced to the position as head recruiter at Port Adelaide, all at the relatively tender age of 25.

Richmond then came calling, giving Hartley the imprimatur to forensically dissect the Tigers' list, identify the shortcomings and then scour the other [then] 16 clubs to determine whether the holes could be filled without paying a king's ransom or using prized first-round draft picks."

Seems like we'll do both on the one player!

yes how times have changed. He has gotten worse if that was at all possible.

To think we poached a bloke who delivered blokes like moore and butcher with top 10 picks is pretty funny. Once he arrived at port they started going downhill.

another masterstroke by the RFC :gotigers
