Title: 6 Year List Management Review
Post by: TigerLand on October 16, 2016, 10:06:02 PM
This reads absolutely diabolical...

1. Trade Period fails:
In 6 years the only player that we have traded in that is in our best 22 was Ivan Maric. No picks in the top 30 were brought in. We've never traded well. The 1993 trade period involving Gale and Broderick is about the only trade I can think of where we actually won out of. Ivan Maric trade excused.

2. Draft selections:
Nothing new here.
Lennon, Conca, seem poor selections.
C.Ellis unknown. B.Ellis awfully inconsistent.
Vlastuin maybe a tick at this stage.
Add these to the Frawlet/Wallace diabolical era of Tambling, JON and Fiora trades.

3. Free Agency:
Since the beginning we have only brought in Chaplin as a free agent, who has been able to lock down a best 22 spot.

3 Pillars of List Management, neither one would result in a positive 6 year period when compared with other clubs...

If the 6 leading players at the club or any supporters want to know why the list is a shambles. This is why. Oh and we have a donkey of a coach who believes the list is best ever.

Chris Knights?

Both failures who struggled severely to hold best 22 spots. Knights through injury and Hunt only until last this year played consistent games.

Couldn't possibly suggest either of those free agents have been positive. Edited original post.

Moore and Hunt (I believe) were delisted free agents. Barely count. May as well be in the PSD of old which has become almost defunct.

Yarran if he ever plays, unlikely as it is, would be best 22.

Lmfa how often has this type of thing been debated. Nothing new here only the depth of ineptness changes.

Why haven't we looked to trade up this year?  We have 3 lower picks swap 2 for a 2nd rounder. Do the new rules make this to hard now?

If anything it should be easier due to academy picks
