First JLT Community Series match: Friday, February 24 v Adelaide at Etihad Stadium
What will the Tigers' midfield look like?
Harder and more dynamic. The additions of Dion Prestia and Josh Caddy will make a difference – Prestia has had injury troubles but is a star when up and running. The added depth should allow Dustin Martin to play more in the forward half of the ground, which will make the Tigers more dangerous.
Will Jack Riewoldt play closer to goal?
Having lost the much-maligned Tyrone Vickery, the Tigers will need to replace his output. Playing Riewoldt deeper could be an option but his creativity and ability to pull the opposition's best defender away from the back 50 means he will likely play a role similar to the past few years.
Does Shaun Hampson hold on to the No.1 ruck mantle?
It will be a closely run contest. Toby Nankervis has impressed in his first pre-season at Punt Road and looked good in the intraclub last Saturday. Hampson is coming off a career-best season and will have to produce a similar level to keep his spot. – Dinny Navaratnam

career best season. wow.
Unfortunately as pathetic as that sounds he is probably right, which typifies how pathetic this club has become.

Why don't you go and follow another sport to something else instead of continually being so negative and depressing with your posts?

if we all did what you and others who live in lala land want there would be 3 and a dog sitting at the G with you ;)
I have yet to meet a tigerhead who has any positive views on the way forward. THere is some hope that they and I for that matter have it totrally wrong after having it totally right for the last 2 decades, but alas its just hope. They are even runnung a poll in the looney bin at BF and there are actually people that are supposed to possess a brain and be able to use it, that are saying we will win our first final this year.....this is indeed a concern to many who keep asking how Benny and co get away with what they have served up and remain at the helm. It shows how Benny and co understand full well their target audience and how to milk then of their cash

My only hope is that the experts picked us as close to top 4 last year......
Now they're picking us as bottom 4.....
Hope we can play guys like Lennon, Bolton, Stengel, Burler, Moore and Chol and play reasonably well. We need to set up a future and the new guys can do that. The old guys have had their chance and fluffed it.

There were quite a few experts on here tipping us top 4 as well just quietly
:roll in

Adelaide $1.80
RICHMOND $2.00.
No rance.
Depends on how weak each side goes in but if Adelaide are serious load up

Does that include the club? Or just here?
-
Club announced today that the yellow guernsey they've been wearing at training is this seasons pre-season guernsey and we will be wearing white shorts with it

Yep
I think we can finish 4th or 5th
No excuses either this year
Easy draw early
Game style from first two intra club much different from last year
Recruited well
Natural improvement in younger players
Top 4 for me

Why white shorts? Surely black shorts would look better

Richmond will seek to field its strongest possible line-up in each match throughout the JLT Community Series.
General Manager of Football, Neil Balme, provided an explanation of Richmond’s philosophy with this year’s pre-season series.
“Because we’ve got rounds two, three and four, we’re just going to try and pick best available side each time,” Balme told the Club’s official podcast, ‘Talking Tigers’.
“But best available will mean some bloke might need to be rested because he’s a bit sore. Or they might only play a half. Or we might want to particularly look at someone . . .
“It’s not (play) a heap of young kids, leave a few (older players) out and rest them.
“It’ll be virtually play the three (games), I think, mostly.”

No it isn't, but playing youth is.
