More of the same.
I'm not even anticipating watching any games.
-
I'm excited to see what our new recruits and youngsters can offer.
-
Always excited - How long it lasts another story
cant be as bad as last year surely and yes I am serious :)
-
Very excited me :thumbsup
-
Oh groan ... misery ... we wont win anything ever again ... again ... groan ... misery ...
Only the brave barrack for Richmond! :gotigers

Even though the whole preseason has been positive to date, Im a little underwhelmed and not expecting much this year. So far we're getting some glowing reviews of our praccy matches and its all doom and gloom for carlton - can see it doing a 180 come round 1 - it would just be so richmond

Every RFC supporters greatest fear....
-
Looking forward to it
Got some good kids coming through, that's what I really look forward to
-
Nup don't want a bar of it. Don't expect to watch any games because we are always poo and always will be. What you can expect though is I'll be on this forum win, lose or draw to tell you how poo we are and be condescending if you disagree
-
Don't know if excited is the right word but....
I'm looking forward/anticipating the coming season for these reasons:
- The penny finally seems to have dropped with the board that the environment should be more supportive.
- this has flowed through to the coaching changes - Caracella, Clarke, Balme even Leppitsch.
- and has empowered senior players to take a more caring and involved attitude towards the playing list, particularly the youngsters.
- and has also flowed through to a changed attitude to and from the young players to be more confident.
- this, allied to a more positive game style (let them play), makes me think that we will be more enjoyable to watch.
Now I'm still nervous as to whether they'll all hold their nerve and some of the biggest problem areas (recruiting, list management, fitness, medical) have not been addressed BUT..
It looks like an improvement at last.

I was feeling blah all summer . Excitement level zero .
However our positive start to the season has refueled my enthusiasm. Think Prestia , Caddy ,Nankervis and a more instintive game plan will make Richmond are far different proposition to the pathetic 2016 version.
I'm pumped and can't wait till round 1.

To be fair Oxy, at least give em a 4-6 weeks. Yes, i reckon its gunna be more of the same but give the kids a chance.

I'm a bit the same as you Matt, last year was the worst year of footy I've ever watched from us.
I just want to go back to the footy and enjoy what I'm watching. Now that may not also equate to wins every week but as long as it's exciting and they are heading in the right direction, I'm happy.

No

I reckon it's more exciting than the last few years. Lost of exciting young players. New coaches. Something might have actually changed

A far different proposition to last year in terms of game style and some personell. Its a more conducive style of play to being watched and entertained. So far.
As for them being a far different proposition in terms of success, that remains to be seen. The majority would say it wont be far different in this respect. Heres hoping though :gotigers

Yeh well, good luck.
Say hi to the three stooges.

You breeze in and out like a Mitch Marsh batting performance

At least Marsh has the odd good batting performance

I'm a little but not much. I still see our list as middling but we have an easy draw. We ought to play finals but I will not be surprised one iota if the wheels fall off and Hardwick is gone by round 12.
-
LMAO.
The biggest gaggle of misery gutses in circle jerk land.

Havn't you got some episodes of twilight to watch or something?

At least the bases of the pizza's at his shop must be pretty bloody good.....king of the flip floppers is our Matty.....:shh

Just the way we are taking the game on is exciting.
The first half last night was hard to watch but for a very different reasons than last year.
We were playing poo and wasting the footy but we were still fighting it out and kept ourselves close enough on the scoreboard to still be in the game.
Big tick so far for the club.
And I hope team selection is the same this week with tough calls on players that didn't play well. That will breed pressure on everyone to preform, and it's long overdue.
-
Hopefully it's wholemeal pressure, usually goes down rougher for me than white

Win , lose or draw - at least we are watchable again .
Last year I wanted to do the "Sam Neil " in Event Horizon.

Im more of a sourdough hi-fibre pressure kinda guy. If our form goes south, i like my bolus to remind me of better days.
