Dimma's post-match presser:
* We could've played better but could not fault our intent. Their class showed out in the end.
* Short's deliberate out of bounds call? Couldn't see from the box. Feel sorry for the umps. We keep adding layer after layer of interpretations. Dimma not happy with holding the ball rule interpretation. Repeated he's not blaming the umps.
* We lacked a bit of courage in that last qtr although it was pretty hot in the contest. We butcherted the ball at stages going inside F50. Still there were plnety of positives to take out of tonight's game.
* Soldo is a competitive lad. Got a long way to go. A good learning experience. We were excited by the things we saw tonight though.
* Vlastuin - unsure. Get an assessment tonight on his shoulder.
* We ran into a red hot side last week. Had some things we needed to work on. There's some more things from this game we'll work on.
* Elton - ability to compete in the air was good. Thought he contributed tonight. It would've been nice if he held onto that mark in the square.
* Our contested possession was high. Dimma's enjoying the way we are playing. Make no mistake we need to win games. Lost 2 now. Need to win against Freo.
* 6 day breaks not a factor. Can't use the inequities of the draw as an excuse. Thought the Dogs were cleaner tonight.
* Jack Riewoldt's regained his leap for the ball and kicked 4 tonight.
* Umpiring decisions just one of those things. Not going to contact the umpiring department. They'll review what they did and we'll focus on reviewing what we did.

Hardwick a bit too understanding of umps plight, can only lead to a 50/50 call at a crucial stage going against us because in the back of the umps mind they know that any media backlash would be less than say a Chris Scott or a Nathan Buckley (via Eddie).
I think as a club we need to sit down with the umps and get a clear understanding of the interpretation for deliberate out of bounds and also the prior opportunity holding the ball rule. Out of all the club's we seem to be on the wrong end of these decisions more often so moving forward it's important for the club to find out why.

Dudwick couldn't care less about the umpiring. Grow some stuffen nads dud and call it out. It's stuffen long overdue.

TBH I really can't see the point.
The interpretations appear to change on a weekly basis. This week's rule of the week seems to be holding the ball and prior opportunity.
The other things is you have 3 filed umpires, 3 individuals whos way of interpreting rules are clearly not the same. Last night we had that young one Deboy or whatever his name was interpreting the holding the ball rule so different to the other 2 it was scary

He just showed more of the medicated fool he is.
Doesn't csre.Doesnt know how to care.
Well done Piggy and Benny. U stuffn losers.

I see Hardwick's comments as a thinly veiled swipe at the AFL/ Umpires dept. who feel the need to tell everyone how great our game yet also feel the need to interfere with the rules/ interpretations at every chance they get.
In sticking up for the umpires themselves he is bagging their bosses and I think he is justified in doing this.

Oh look...

Have in on good authority that Caracella had a number of tactical game winning moves in the last and although Dimwit was happy to hear suggestions being made, he decided against making those moves :rollin

Dimma likes tougher Tigers but needs a win

RICHMOND coach Damien Hardwick is enjoying the tougher edge the Tigers have shown in their 5-2 start to 2017, but says they have to get back on the winning track after two consecutive losses.
The Tigers lost to the Western Bulldogs by five points at Etihad Stadium on Saturday despite having led by 32 points early in the second quarter.
As disappointing as the loss was, Richmond's brave performance was a marked improvement on the 76-point flogging it received from Adelaide last Sunday.
Asked on Saturday night how he assessed his team's start to the year, Hardwick said he had been encouraged by the improvement in the Tigers' contested football.
"I think it's been reasonable, the style of game we're playing. We've played some pretty tough footy," Hardwick said.
"I think the contested possession game again tonight was pretty high. I'm enjoying the way we're playing, it's pretty contested in nature, (our) pressure and tackle pressure is very good as well.
"So it's different than what it has been before, but make no mistake we've got to win some games.
"We're looking to bounce back versus Fremantle next week and get our home crowd behind us, get a couple of things going our way."
