Title: 24 hours on - describe your thoughts
Post by: mat073 on May 15, 2017, 04:46:19 PM
Total Disbelief??
Bitterness and resentment  ??
Depression  ??
Acceptence ??

Im still struggling to comprehend how we could not protect our lead for 21 seconds .
Ross Lyon had conceded defeat . Only at tigerland.

PTSD like symptoms for me. From high fiving a random bloke from the row in front to shock in the space of a minute.

I was watching the game at my folks house being Mothers day and all. I was watching the game with my sister ,brother in law and nephew who are all mad Dockers. My father was also enjoying the game but he's an impartial Eagle.

I could sense something was brewing in the last quarter and was giving my family sh@# after an afternoon of mockery.

However - it was getting all too much for me and I had to go for a walk around the block with 8 minutes remaining - Richmond still trailing by 10 points.

I returned with 51 seconds to go and saw Brandon Ellis kick the winning goal . I immediately told my family to go @#$! themselves and raced out the front again not willing to watch the final 21 seconds.

I counted to 60 in my head and went back inside expecting to hear the tiger theme song .... But Cameron Mooney was interviewing David Mundy.

Weekend ruined.

Yep gutted.

With strong undertones of distrust and resentment.

Topped off a weekend of driving driving driving, a supercoach loss and the worst effing steak ive ever been forced to pay for.

Stop torturing yourselves.

It's nit as though you don't know what will happen, given the coaching and development situation.

Still LMFAO.

I couldnt give a poo if we had won. it would have been highway robbery did not deserve to win it and would just have papered over more cracks.
As it is people are forgetting how insipid we were for the majority of the game fmd 5 gols in three quarters says it all.

Fair dinkum people expect it then talk as if they are gutted talk about contraditions.

Well put it this way, I asked for rare and it was well done. And there were no grill/char marks on it. Like it had been microwaved.

Chickens coming home to roost.
Starts at the top and ignored at the bottom.

The board is corrupt and lies and cheats to remain in the plush seats with no accountability.
The administrative leaders (Gale and Stahl) are also liars and cheats with zero accountability.
The departmental leaders (Richardson, Hartley and Clarke) are incompetent at best.
The coaches make poor selections and fail to motivate the players.

All of that leads to having a poor list with a disastrous future ahead.
Yarran was useless for over 12 months and no resolution was made before it was 3 weeks too late, costing $500k and a spot.
Maric, Batchelor and others were re-signed for no good reason.
Due to these things we failed to get Barlow, Rockliff, Richards, Stewart and Downie.

While the members continue to blindly follow the team without thinking about what it takes to set up a premiership team, and where the buck stops, we will continue to bounce around the middle of the ladder until falling lower when our key players (Martin, Cotchin, Riewoldt and Rance) get too old and are not replaced ahead of time.

Gutted that we still give games to players with absolutely no courage whatsoever. Players that are scared to put their head over the ball, contest in some way or lay a tackle. We had at least 3 players that should hang their heads in shame... And the match committee that select these guttless players should be ashamed of themselves.

How could any player play 74 minutes of a game in defense and not lay one tackle???

Useless Richmond!

Became numb to along time ago

Just shrug the shoulders and think "typical bloody Richmond"

The only that changes is my view on players that I've foolishly backed in

Terrific, just terrific TM

That's funny actually
Mentioned to one of the assistants after the game about Corey Ellis and his lack of tackles , also  another player who soilded his shorts during the game
The reply was you worry about your job and I will worry about mine
My reply , there is a problem, you can't do your job . 🤔😉

Nathan brown @ Sportsbet said a lucky punter is $15000 richer after betting $150 on Richmond  to lose the match in the last 20 seconds.
