Dimma just had his post-match presser:
* We played well and our pressure was good. We didn't put the score on the board like we should've but happy with how we played.
* Wouldn't say we felt in control but we were playing well. North kicked 4 goals from our D50 in the first half which concerned us. We dealt with that at and after half-time.
* We're the AFL's No.1 forward pressure turnover side. Reputation sometimes proceeds you and they (North) probably give the ball off a fraction earlier knowing Rioli, Butler and Castagna are coming at you.
* Inexperience forward line means we don't finish off on the scoreboard like we should. They'll get better in time with more experience.
* Cotch fantastic. Had 7 pressure points.
* Dusty off to NZ to see his dad then back for the 2nd half of the season.
* Jack was poor and Cotch only had 11 disposals to half-time. They lifted significantly in the second half to lead the way.
* We have a nice compliment of inside (Cotch, Dusty, Prestia, Caddy) players and classy outside players with leg speed (praised Menadue's efforts tonight).
* We want our guys to back their strengths and take the game on.
* Contested ball and winning clearances inside 50 is better this year. We like to kick to 1-on-1 and back ourselves to win the ball.
* Astbury having a great year. Was good last year too. Grimes is another one who is underrated.
* Dimma was asked about how we've responded to those close losses and does he feel vindicated about remaining positive at the time? Dimma again stated that we were playing well for most of those games. Referred to the GWS game again about playing good footy but not for long enough.
* Prestia was huge tonight. Best game for the club. Has taken time to fit into the side. Only just now training twice a week and his best footy is ahead of him in the second half of the year. Initially it was the knee and knee related injuries (calf) but he has confidence in his body now.

Fast, furious forwards force turnovers: Hardwick
afl.com.au
4 June 2017
RICHMOND coach Damien Hardwick believes the Tigers' reputation as pressure kings was the catalyst for North Melbourne's litany of costly errors on Saturday night.
The Roos were their own worst enemy at times with ball in hand and their ill-discipline also let them down in a crucial patch in the third quarter that helped Richmond score a 35-point victory at Etihad Stadium.
"It's an interesting one, perceived pressure … I think we're the AFL No.1 in forward-half turnovers, so sometimes your reputation probably precedes you," Hardwick said.
"When you've got guys like (Daniel) Rioli, (Shai) Bolton, (Jason) Castagna and (Dan) Butler; knowing they're coming, sometimes it puts a bit of pressure on the opposition, so they probably get rid of it half a step earlier.
"So I still think good sides manage to get those turnovers. People will say they kicked it away, but I think our reputation is pretty strong in that field."
Hardwick spoke with confidence and hinted the Tigers could be on the verge of something special in the coming months after missing finals in a disappointing season last year.
Dustin Martin continues to perform at an elite level despite the constant speculation about his playing future, captain Trent Cotchin is enjoying an outstanding season and Richmond's backline is as good as any around.
Three-time All Australian Alex Rance might command most of the attention in defence, but David Astbury, who kept Jarrad Waite to one goal, and Dylan Grimes drew Hardwick's praise again.
Jack Riewoldt remains the major tall target in attack, but the Tigers' mosquito fleet of forwards – Rioli, Butler, Castagna and first-year footballer Bolton – are increasingly pivotal.
"We've got a nice complement and we do play some exciting footy," Hardwick said.
"We have a nice complement of inside players – Martin, Cotchin, (Dion) Prestia, (Josh) Caddy, these types – and some really classy outside young players that are starting to (blossom).
"We probably haven't had the leg speed (in the past), but we brought some players in (and) I thought Connor Menadue grew again tonight as well … it's exciting for us."
Prestia's off-season switch from the Gold Coast attracted much fanfare, but the hard-nosed onballer had been somewhat underwhelming entering the North clash.
The 24-year-old changed all that with 35 disposals, including 10 contested, five tackles and five clearances. Prestia has managed minor knee, calf and hamstring issues since arriving at Tigerland.
"I thought (Prestia) was huge tonight. No doubt his best game for us," Hardwick said.
"It does take some time for the players to come from other clubs to fit into your system and it's taken a bit longer than we both would have liked.
"But in fairness to Dion, he's only started training twice a week (last week) … so we're really positive he's going to have a huge impact for us in the second part of the year – his best footy is still in front of him."

Dustin Martin ‘pretty impressive’ in Richmond’s win over North Melbourne
Matt Windley
Herald Sun
4 June 2017
DAMIEN Hardwick says Dustin Martin’s upcoming break in New Zealand this week is fully deserved after the Richmond star played one of his best games in his side’s 35-point win over North Melbourne.
The out-of-contract midfielder amassed 38 possessions and kicked two goals against one of the teams chasing his signature in a multi-million-dollar race for his services for next season.
With the Tigers not playing next week, Martin, 25, will head across the Tasman to visit his father, Shane, who was deported to New Zealand last year.
He goes with the blessing of a coach who could not hide his admiration for his star midfielder’s output at Etihad Stadium.
“It was a pretty impressive game,” Hardwick said.
“Dustin has had a wonderful season thus far.
“He’ll go and catch up with his dad and say ‘hello’ ... and then he’ll be back to help us for a pretty important second half of the season.”
While North Melbourne led by two points at halftime, there was always a feeling Richmond had more to give.
And to that end Hardwick said he was thrilled with the way his leaders stepped up after halftime, paying credit to vice-captain Jack Riewoldt’s efforts in a four-goal surge early in the third term.
The Tigers head to the break with a 7-4 record.
And despite suffering three close losses in a row prior to last week’s win over Essendon, Hardwick said he is happy with how his side is positioned.
“We’re probably a side that is very workmanlike in the way that we play,” he said.
“We probably get a lot of our goals off turnover goals.
“Our forward half is relatively inexperienced. I think we’re averaging 58 or 59 inside 50s a game, but because of that inexperience we probably don’t score the easy goals that we need to at various stages so it keeps the game close.
“But that will come. When you think of what guys like (Daniel) Rioli, (Dan) Butler, (Shai) Bolton and (Jason) Castagna are going to be like in two or three years it’s pretty exciting for our footy club.”
