People laugh but over his entire career, he was better than Carey.

Unlike Lynch or Carey was the only one kicking goals for the team and didn't have the quality supply.
Unlike Buddy could take an overhead mark.

Imagine Richo playing today's footy with the restrictions the backman deal with in the modern game, he'd be unstoppable.

He had the best hands in the game for a while there.

Richo for the entirety of his career was the best mark in the game. There was no other player playing at the time who was better mark than Richo.

His supply was rubbish. His hands were amazing and his ability to get those bear trap hands to the ball was amazing. His kicking for goal though and his passion which often lead to him losing his poo I think is what people choose to remember him the most for. The move from Wallace to play him on the wing was probably the catalyst to get the modern forward like Franklin or Riewoldt to play further up the ground
