According to the Herald-Sun, Dimma said post-match that Houli will come straight back in.

Fire away with your changes ...

Outs- Grigg, BEllis, Rioli, Soldo, Butler

Ins- Stengle, Bolton, Markov, Lennon, Miles if fit

McIntosh to help out in the ruck.

Soldo out
Houli in

Would like to see Elton back in or Moore as I believe we need a better forward second ruck solution. Soldo will be better for the run and he looked better today but VFL development is still required. Personally I would love Townsend back in to play a few games as he is well above VFL.

:lol

I know this is what YOU want to happen. What do you think WILL happen?

I think one or two changes. Houli will come in probably for Broad. Maybe Soldo out for Elton.

Obviously what I want to happen. Not what will actually happen with a spineless idiot in charge.

I think Butler will get a rest and Bolton will come in.

I think the club will be keen to get some game time in to Bolton prior to possibly making the finals.

And I actually think McIntosh might make way for Houli, rather than Broad.

It would be madness to drop McIntosh. His speed and size is important and he has developed into a key player now.

Short has tapered off a little and should be higher in the firing line.

Broad has showed a bit  :cheers

Yeah, McIntosh is an important player for us, but I am not sure he is 100% fit.

I would like to see Broad retain his place. So dropping Short could be an option. But I still think McIntosh might be rested this week.

CEllis will make way for Halstep's hero Houli....

....probably would've lost today had he played....match was choc-full of the kind of  knife-edge moments tailor-made to loosen his bowels..

Yes, but the words 'choc-full' and 'bowels' should never be used in the same sentence

The Barometer - Round 19

Herald-Sun
24 July 2017

RICHMOND

ON THE BLOCK:
Damien Hardwick is in the ideal position of having to find someone to drop rather than wanting to bring players in on performance. He has already confirmed that Bachar Houli will be back against Gold Coast after serving his stuff suspension for hitting Jed Lamb. And yet Corey Ellis, a late in for Anthony Miles (knee) was strong in the win over GWS. There weren’t too many passengers in the win, with Ivan Soldo playing as a second ruckman and getting less game time than the rest.

ON THE CUSP:
Ben Griffiths suffered another injury on Sunday in the VFL - this time a dislocated shoulder. He might need surgery or at least will face several weeks on the sidelines to rehab the injury. Hardwick said Miles would need a week or two on the sidelines with his knee injury. In the VFL, Taylor Hunt kicked three goals and Tyson Stengle four, with Oleg Markov playing well off half back.

JON RALPH’S FORECAST: The Tigers are on fire, finding a way to bounce back after a horror first term against GWS. All Griffiths would have needed was a strong game in the VFL and he would have played in the AFL next week or the week after. Nankervis was tried as a key forward with limited success but was better in the ruck. So the Tigers will just need to keep winning games with Jack Riewoldt as their star forward and a collection of smaller forwards around him.

In the Mix - Round 19

RICHMOND

With half-back Bachar Houli certain to return from a four-match suspension, the Tigers have a big decision to make in their well-performed backline.

Corey Ellis and Nathan Broad were last in, but Jayden Short could also be among a trio of players the match committee looks at to make way for Houli.

Midfielder Anthony Miles is also touch-and-go after suffering a minor ligament strain in his right knee at training last Friday, forcing his withdrawal from the senior team. He'll face a fitness test on Thursday.

In the VFL, small forward Tyson Stengle booted four goals and is a form option if openings present.

Tall forward Todd Elton (two goals) is an alternative to ruckman Ivan Soldo, who has been serviceable in support of Toby Nankervis.

Broad had his best game for us. I think he was our third best defender behind Vlaustin and Rance on the day.

Had 9 intercept possessions too

Hardwick said inside midfielder Anthony Miles could come into the team as a replacement for Prestia if he passed a fitness test on Thursday following a minor knee injury.
