As a young Tiger from the late 60's Royce was an absolute star & a personal fave!  Every kid in a Tiger skin had the #4 on their back.  Greatest contested mark I've ever seen, Roach was good & Jack is too, but Royce was magnitudes better than both of them!  Captain Courageous who bled for the club.
This is the guy who made Richmond special!   :bow   :clapping

Yep. I was one of those kids in the late 60's and early 70's.......

Still remember my dear mother stitching the number 4 on my tiger jumper. Somethings you never forget.

My old man says the same thing.

Numbers themselves don't add up to the legend of course. Wish I'd be able to see Royce.

Will just have to settle for Dusty...could be worse :D

Watched Royce single handedly get us over the line in the 1973 Preliminary Final against Collingwood
Was a reserve due to injury, came on after half time replacing Robert Lamb . Kicked 3 goals in the 3rd Quarter, he was the best

Hand Knitted Richmond Jumper with 4 on the back, wish I had of kept it.

Was so peeed of as a forward/ruckman to be given number 10 for the little league. Everybody wanted to be Royce not some back pocket plumber.

Royce was simply put, God.

I also liked Roger Dean and Kevin Bartlett.
